Probably a dumb question but where are you guys getting your side LED's from?  I looked around and found a lot of places selling strips but not the individual ones, at least, not in the color I want.

I have the same problem. I live in germany and I can't find a shop that sells single LEDs in that size. Only mouser carries 3 colors that I don't want. Dark red, yellow and yellow-green.

If someone can confirm these are the correct ones, that'd be swell.  And maybe...an Aussie can proxy?  Cause...seriously, **** that shipping price.

I ACTUALLY found some blue ones in germany. 3528 SMD LED, 3,5 x 2,8 x 1,9mm.

http://www.ebay.de/itm/10-blaue-SMD-LEDs-PLCC2-3528-mini-Led-smds-BLAU-blue-/370395591815?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_77&hash=item563d4c3487

10 pieces for 2.09€ + 1€ shipping. Not a great price compared to those from china but still 3€ for more LEDs than I need AND they will most likely arrive next week. Probably going to order these!

What about these ones?

As for acrylic inserts, I think I'll be getting them next week.

No pink. :(  Might just have to go with white.

Edit: Looks like they have pink but it's not one of the options in the drop down.  Time to message them.

Edit 2: Or I'm just blind and a quick search in their store turned up what I was looking for.  Dunno how I missed it before.  Thanks, Elton.

So here's my last ditch attempt to get one of these.

Anyone have an unbuilt Viper they are willing to part with?

I offer moneys and my eternal gratitude.

All stabs and switches acquired and modded and soldering station already set up...

I set it up on the kitchen table though so don't think my gf is too happy about that part  :D

Would anyone happen to know the default control or caps lock key on the viper? I used autohotkey to rebind capslock to control, but now I don't have a capslock anymore. Not the most crucial thing, but it would be nice if there was a way to easily rebind fn+tab to caps lock, especially considering default HHKB fn layer is there already. (I tried out that software on Duck's website, but it was quite confusing, and I'm not sure a caps lock key is worth that much time to me :p )

+Capslock::Capslock

The above autohotkey script line will make shift+caplock act as the caplock

So, I'm building my viper today and I noticed the small fn key position next to the right shift position has no slot on the plate so it has to sit directly on the PCB. This means it will sit a few millimeters below the rest of the switches mounted in the plate. Did anyone else notice that? Has anyone done anything to level out that switch with the rest of them?

EDIT: I just figured it out. I had to wiggle the plate to allow it to settle on the stabs which brought all the switches level.

How are you guys that are going to replace the side LEDs doing it? Are you going to use hot air or very carefully use the normal soldering iron?

Has anyone had issues programming the arrows on the viper/eagle?  In the 02D Firmware they show as question marks and when I mapped those they displayed as empty.

Everything else worked for me, but for some reason this arrow issue...

You need to change your locale to Korean.  You can use AppLocale (http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=13209) to open 02D with Korean language locale without having to restart every time you want to change something.

Ivan had a GMK GB, you might be able to score one from someone willing to sell one.  Otherwise, you'll have to try and find a G80 set from a board with a 7x spacebar.  Some might be affordable from Taobao.

Depending on how quickly you want one, you could buy the "winkeyless mods" kit from Originative's GMK Cyrillic set which comes with a 7x spacebar.

I've had good experiences with their shipping and communication lately. Some people are still missing caps from age old orders though, so who knows.

they are complrtely different from each other so it is up to personal preference. Octagon is a great choice if you want a 75% and you absolutely need those extra buttons but eagle is the one you should get if you want portability as well as being compact while having full key remapping while still having all the features of a full board if you can use Fn ( they both have this feature)

Zeal is right lol. Eagle GB just ended so only way to get an eagle is if someone was Willi g to let theirs go at such an early time. The second round just started shipping
