I haven't checked on this for a while, but if the GB route is taken, would it be like the 7V in that it was open?

If so, absolutely let's collectively go that route.

Pretty please with a chuleta on top? <3

Gok probably going through more prototypes. A-OK with me. Nothing wrong with taking your time to refine a design, especially one as unique as this. Will be worth the wait.

Love the look of this, as someone who has never been super into the Alice layout.

if there's ever a red, cool purple or Burgundy option, or maybe a PC option, then I'll probably be throwing down the cash for it.

Thanks for all the work :)

Loving the look of this.  With the wrist rest, are there rubber bumpers on the "top" of it or some other feature in place to prevent it from rubbing against the board?

I think a cool thing would be an extra y key, something that I think would not be that hard to add, yet like the extra b key is something that a lot of people would appreciate, like when typing the word many, I am part of the people that type "y" with my left hand. Not a gamechanger to me, I still like this board and want to buy it when it goes live, but if there are other versions in progress, then something that bump it up against other alice style keybs

There's no keycap set supports the extra Y as far as I'm aware of. Would be extremely difficult to find sets with two Ys.

Exactly. Instead of asking a feature like this (feature which makes extra issues not fixes), Type-K will make you learn to type properly. :p

it means that the user is a druid or very into astrology

but what i don't understand is how a metal keyboard is OK but a metal wrist rest is not

Being a good conductor of heat, he’s saying that resting his skin on an aluminum block of a wrist rest would sap away body heat and be uncomfortable. This plastic or wood is a better option in that respect.

Jup. Metals conduct heat away. Wood or plastic is more insulated.

I have a couple metal hid devices and no matter the room temperature they are cold to the touch.

Also one of the reasons why glass tables suck

Yeah I think an aluminum wrist rest in New England winters would be... very uncomfortable. PC is probably a better bet IMO.

It's also PC. Surprisingly, it's holding up pretty well in terms of wear. It's definitely the way to go over frosted acrylic/polycarbonate.

Proto 5 has been ordered.

This is my only concern. Especially towards the middle of the board. Wonder if it can be used without a wrist rest..

After producing the Hatchet, I have to agree. At least give one other option in a different material is a must. I had to warn everybody how cold it was to type on (but many wanted it for that reason). It is very cold to type on an aluminum wrist rest.

I am all in if it is offered in wood or some form of polycarb. 50/50 on aluminum.

Talking with Gok and actually reading the IC (like I should have done to start), it seems the wristrest is PC.
