TYP60 SL

Hi friends, I am 14x71 from axiom studios. The TYP60 is a 60% layout keyboard featuring a compression o-ring gasket mount design, and interchangeable blockers for different bottom row configurations (WK, WKL, and HHKB). Whereas the original TYP60 uses 6063 aluminium for the case, this version of the board -  TYP60 SL now uses polycarbonate, 6063 aluminium for the blockers, copper weight, and custom bumpons. The idea is to keep the familiar typing feel while changing some aspects of the sound and handfeel of the board itself.

The unit in these photos are still our 2nd Prototype, there will be differences with the final production units such as:

• Blocker Colors - on the prototype unit the colors is too warm
• Bottom weight will have a Superleggera engraving

Still not a huge fan of the implementation of the interchangeable blockers, but I can't really say no to a 'Superleggera' titled board.... I'm so so glad to see dyed PC being offered more often. The green and purple PC options sound like they'll be beautiful... hopefully the price can be reduced a little because it is very steep. Good luck to all involved in the project

The color of the keycaps on the sides is very poppy. I like this very much. The bottom of the keyboard feels like it’s made of acrylic, which is very thoughtful.

Hi, from what I can tell it looks similar to the H60 where the O-ring cutout is, as for the location of the JST connector on our PCB is similar to the unikorn, please refer to the image below

We have some updates, we decided to move back the date of the sale to Dec 10th, 2023.

All the units are on the way to us right now as you are reading this, while there is a possibility we do receive them early, it shortens the time for QC and repacking should we commit to an earlier sales date, we have always maintained a certain standard for our QC & packaging, and because we have promised an in-stock sale with proper photos of the actual unit we do not want to delve into any pre-order or pre-sale options.

QC can and most likely will be done within 3 days but instead of setting a sales date close by and having the deadline looming over us, we'd rather have a leeway to properly inspect and check all the units to be up to standards.

We sincerely hope this will be the final revision and this is going to be the last time we change the dates.
