Quick March update: I'm working on some new kitting and novelty designs. IC should be fully up and running sometime in april or may.

A set inspired by jays, my favorite birds

Inspiration

The colorway inspired by the blue feathers commonly seen on jays and muted and toned down to fit my own personal taste. With novelties inspired by the birds themselves and the trees they nest in, conifers, pine bearing trees.

Kits/Renders
Please consider that renders do not always accurately show what the set will look like. Different people’s monitors are different, hex codes aren’t always right, and lighting is a huge factor in colors. The base kit will have the most accurate colors, but still not perfect.

I really love the muted blue and novelties. I personally would only use the base colour, so I really appreciate you planning to change the spacebar kit to include base colour split spacebar options!

Thanks for the support! I was thinking it, but more people seem to like the seamless icon mods followed by the text bottom, I will consider it though.

I personally like the R3 Icon control on icon only mods, feels more integrated between tab and shift icon mods

Very clean set, personally I would get rid of 6u offcenter but that is up to what the general public and you think is best.

I'd agree with you if the set used left-centered icon mods (as on 8008 or 9009 R3), but since this set uses OG placement for the other mods, having a single left-centered icon feels out of place

love the base colour, but the novelties feel a bit too big and a bit too simple. would also suggest making the accents a bit darker. nice kit, will probably cop

Don't care what you call it.  The colour is superb.  SOLD.  Count me in and make sure you get some UK ISO into that kit.

Gonna chime in like everyone else and say that I think that the accent colour clashes rather than complements the base colour.

However postponing whole thing after 1 day of IC? Notes about cancelling the set in credits? Am I the only one feeling this is already lost?

So i wasn't even thinking about posting this set at first, but i did, hence the credit.
but something that wasn't in my control arose that I noticed only a day after posting so I'm pausing work for now. But I'll try to keep people updated.

GMK TU1 might be fairly close to RAL 5009, though it might be more saturated. Would let you go down to 1 custom color.

Also WS1 is a lot brighter than depicted in the renders.

If you were doing any input for other Jays, my personal favorite from my spot on the globe is the Stellar's Jay.

We've got Scrub Jay's here as well, but these ones have some real style.
