Are these lubes considered safe to handle for the novice? What level of toxicity do they have? Do you have to use mask/gloves, eye protection and have you gotten any on your skin? I am going to use Krytox VPF 1506 on a Topre board.

If this is a PTFE grease rated for use in food prep areas, I wouldn't be terribly worried about it (I used some PTFE grease on my stabs yesterday)

great info, thanks. Which product do you use to lube your boards ? Which kitchen safe ones?

The food prep comment was right out of a Google search for the lube you specified.

Just google the products and look for SDS or MSDS as a search term. For stuff to do with chemicals, it's much better than trusting some stranger on the internet  ;)

The stuff that I'm using is from a company thats no longer operating, but it is just another PTFE based product.
