Been messaging a few people here and on Reddit to see if they're interested in the unpaid MechaSharks. I'm using info based on their raffle entries.

There are no Umbra, Indico, Cyan, or Glacier left. Highlighting these since these were the most wanted colors according to the raffle entry data.

Trying to reach people who haven't won anything and match their wanted colors with the colors available.

Got my Umbra mods in today. In all honesty, they were pretty rough out of the packaging.



Fit wise, they're actually pretty nice! I'd say they're on par with KK's mods fitment wise (it's all I have to go off of). However with some post work, they look a ton better. So I did some!




Definitely looks muchhhhhhhhhh better now. The finish is a little shiny on some of the caps versus matte on the others. But overall, they're not bad for a first release.

how's the fitment?

The fitment is pretty good and all the stems appear to be in good form. Definitely not as snug as stock caps but I don't foresee them accidentally falling off.

Some damn good stuff. I will say that my biggest complaint is that it's a bit too big in both directions so you can't really put them next to each other (either side by side or top to bottom) since they catch on each other

Yeah, it was a problem I found long after I sculpted the master. I sculpted the master without thinking about putting multiple sharks next to each other. Didn't find a problem with the dimensions until I started casting and putting them on my board.

I already have plans to trim it down so it can fit better with other sharks... But for now they don't play well with each other :(

Updated the first post. We're gonna go back to testing colors, resins, molds, everything pretty soon. Hope everybody is satisfied with their keys, and if not, talk to us! We want you to be happy!

Yup! not a perfect color match but it works for me.. I relocated the cap to the HOME key and it looks better - busting out of all that pink blood in the water.

OH. I taped an envelope shut but forgot to put anything in it so we reprinted it because I didn't want to tear the envelope and I guess I put the empty envelope with the rest! Got my Honeydew melon mods in the mail today! Thanks for shipping them so quickly.

First impression is they are bright and clean on top, and look really really thick.

I installed them already... well tried to at least. 1 of them has some overflow jamming up the slits in the post and 2 of the caps are rubbing on the housing of my hhkb plunger surroundings and get stuck. I will go at them gently with a dremel to try and fix the problem but you may want to make some adjustments to the underside of the cap molds.

But overall i think they look fantastic and have good even texture and coloring. The profiles seem to line up great as well. Thanks!

Thanks for the feedback! I'll definitely be making adjustments to the sharks. I'll also be more mindful of the varieties of keyboards and their housing, including Topre ones.

Ok all set. I actually was able to make some very small tweaks with a razor and the two bottom row keys fit great. It looks like your partner has 2 different molds from the Fn and alt keys even though they are the exact same. The one you have for Fn works great but the mold for the bottom row needs just a quick shave around the edges.
In the end they look fantastic! Heres a pic for others to see just how great they came out:

I would say for your first go they are pretty good, really like the umbra shark too, only thing I would say it the stems could do with being a little cleaner other wise top marks

Hey man! Sorry about the fees. I'm going to talk to Raenbo about that and maybe work out some sort of reimbursement Thanks so much for the feedback and being so understanding. We take all of the feedback to heart and ever since we've just been working on our overall technique as well as trying to make the molds better. It was the first sale but we are far from satisfied with how our caps turned out and only plan to improve on them. Can't wait to see them pics!

Yeah, the swirl pattern is really cool It's from a cast where Marshal and I tried out marble-ing. We tried to do a white with red swirls into it, but the red overpowered the mix and turned out like that. It reminds us of strawberry cheesecake ice cream

Personally think it was good enough for the main sale if you could recreate it easily
