Archon RE:AL Superior EX Fn Help
« on: Wed, 17 July 2019, 09:42:12 »
Hello, I just purchased the Archon RE:AL on Mechmarket and I was wondering if someone could help me out with the Fn key and tell me what all of the Fn keys are and what they do. I know that Fn 1-6 is RGB related but I'm not sure what the other keys are. Thank you in advance!

lol.... Congrats that you got the best keyboard of Noppoo EC Switch-based keyboards

Here're the function keys that you asked

FN + F1 : Open My Computer via Microsoft Explorer
FN + F2 : Open Internet Browser
FN + F3 : Open Calculator
FN + F4 : Open Favorites(Same as bookmarks)
FN + F5 : Open E-mail(Maybe Outlook, but it works with mail on windows 10)
FN + F6 : Open Search
FN + F7 : Go to Hibernation Mode(Sleep Mode)
FN + F8 : Swap the position between Caps Lock/Left Control
FN + F12 : 6-Key/N-Key Rollover Setting
FN + ESC : Key Lock
FN + Q : Mute
FN + W : Decrease Volume
FN + E : Increase Volume
FN + A : Pause/Play
FN + S : Play the previous track
FN + D : Play the next track
FN + F : Stop
FN + Pause : User Mode - I don't know what it is

And here's tip for using your new board....

First of all, because the board is based on Noppoo EC Switch, it doesn't support fully RGB.
It means that the color of light will not be matched as your thoughts.

But you can change the color of light per key via software which is provided by manufacturer.

And second, It has the possibility to break the stem of your keycaps because of the thick stem of old switches.

You should use the cheap keycaps for protecting your money or replace the switches with retooled stem for protecting your expensive keycaps.

Can you provide a link to the software? I'm having a hard time finding it.

Hey found this thread from a google search. Did you end up finding any software to program the keys?

I'm not 100% but you can try downloading the software, it might have the ability. I haven't used it in a while so I can't remember.
