Title: Anne Pro Owners - I need you!
Post by: C4PPY on Fri, 13 October 2017, 00:54:57
Hi All!

I am deeply in love the 60% and the Anne PRO would be the next purchase for me (i think).
But seeing that Gateron Red is the only linear switch in the lineup.

Would I be able to replace the springs with some heavier springs without soldering?

Yes, you can do it the dirty way... Wouldn't recommend, but it works just fine. Well, it's not hard to do, but at the same time it's easy enough to **** up. Some switches are easier than others as well... But really the worse case scenario is that you scratch the backplate or crack a switch case. You could potentially crack a plastic backplate but you'd have to really be going at it! If those aren't a big deal for your situation, give it a go!

No problem and good luck! One quick note: be careful when  putting the top back on. It's generally easy as well, but if one of the legs bends it becomes somewhat of a pain.

Don't do that. Those photos show a board that has a plate that supports switch top opening. The Anne pro does not. Doing this to your Anne pro could damage the switches. To change the springs you would have to desolder the switches.
