YEAAAAAAHAHHHHHHHHH!!!!! It's here god damn it! It's finally here! My Leopold Tenkeyless with Brown Switches came today, my father picked it up from the post office and will bring it home after work.

Yes, apparently the wrong keyboard needed less than a week to come to me from the US, but the correct keyboard needed 16 freaking days to come from Switzerland. The guy sent my keyboard from Switzerland on the 4th of September and it was a whole week in Greece at the Central Post Office, I mean come on! They needed a week for what, check for viruses or drugs? It came from Switzerland for god's sake, not Colombia (no offense to any Colombians in here).

My country never seize to amaze me every freaking day...

Lots of stuff at the moment!

Logitech BBT18 Trackball - $20 on eBay in near mint condition  :thumb:
Klaxon set from rarar - starting to sweat these a little bit, they usually would've arrived by now :\
BunnyCaps from the man himself!
Some more Android dolls from ThinkGeek cos they were on sale!

Addicted to these things, going to run out of places to put them soon. Suppose I'll just start cluttering up my work as well haha

It's a good width!  If it's half-width it's too narrow, and full-width is too wide.

Somebody at your Central Post Office is placing an order for a new keyboard, after test-driving yours for a week.   :p

Ordered a Poker 2 with MX Browns from Qtan last night and it was kindly shipped while I was asleep. Hopefully it's able to leave China before the super typhoon makes landfall. Stay safe Qtan, the mechanical community needs you!

Ordered a custom keycap from WASD, I'm amazed it shipped already since I ordered it last night at almost 11:00PM PDT.

I'm currently waiting on a custom USB from Mimic-Cables, hopefully it will ship in another 2-3 weeks. (I'm always patient for quality work!)  ;D

White. I really don't like the aesthetic of the black one... Furthermore, I'm not a fan of blank keycaps, either. I love minimalism, but when you sacrifice functionality, it becomes a gimmick. I'm thinking of maybe some pistachio colored keycaps for accents.

I'm trying* not to become that old guy down the block.  You know, the one with a garage full of old tools, and crates of baby food jars containing screws, bolts, and tiny springs.  With electronics prices as cheap as they are, I just order extras of specific items if I know I need them right away, rather than accumulating zip-lock bags of miscellaneous parts against potential future need.

[*Trying, and failing.]

I think my next purchase will be a pretty cheap Cherry MX keyboard with blacks that I can totally rice out for cheap. I don't really game, but it sounds like a fun project.

After that, ErgoDox with Cherry MX Clears.

This is my list :)

Congrats!! I love the color theme you choice!!! That hint of orange goes perfect with the blue :)

Clears was also an awesome choice. However, you'll probably prefer it without the o-rings, or more like you'll find out you won't need them once you get used to typing on Clears; they're stiff enough you'll naturally learn to not bottom out over time ;) Hands down best stock Cherry switch.

Yeah, that's what I was expecting. However, given that I plan on using the keyboard in a small, open-plan office, I would prefer not to take any chances :D

Congratulations on the new job!  Hope it works out :)
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

I got a new job yesterday, and to celebrate (and in order to provide myself with a work keyboard) I ordered a WASD V2 tenkeyless with Clears and red o-rings.

Does the WASD support that layout?

"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada
