Mailman delivered today my Topre Yellow Keyset for the recently acquired Digilog case.

End result in Black and Yellow:
(Attachment Link)

Would you be able to provide a few more details on the case? I'm curious about the build quality, what was involved in getting everything installed, and whether it changes the geometry or height compared to your original case.

From Unicomp:
CVSET       Replacement Cover Set 1399058   1
                Style: FR84
1395110    Detachable PS2 Cable                   1
PVPLASM    Pivot Plate & Spring Assembly      90

From McMaster-Carr:
Metric Pan Head Phillips Machine Screw, Zinc-Plated Steel, M2 Size, 8MM Length, .4MM Pitch, Packs of 100
Metric Plain Steel Hex Nut, Class 6, M2 Size, .4 mm Pitch, 4MM W , 1.6MM H, packs of 100
Metric 18-8 Stainless Steel Internal-Tooth Lock Washer, M2 Screw Size, 4.5MM OD, .3MM Min Thick, Packs of 100

Polyurethane Strip, .020" Thickness, 12" Width, 90A Durometer. Going to see how this feels compared to the existing rubber mat as a possible replacement. It's pretty beat down.

Tracking says it will be here between tomorrow and Tuesday. Get this SSK back to life.

My SSK should be coming in today, quite anxious to see what condition it is in. Bought it unseen.
It's currently in a sorting facility only a kilometer away, but I have to wait for those bastards to pull
their fingers out of their asses and get it over to my local post office.

It looks neat, and I have tons of spare parts and stuff laying around, so $12 why not? ( i also needed some more caps from them anyway )

Not sure exactly what i'll do with it, but it looks neat.

I wonder where I could find a businesscard with Techkeys.us printed on it.
When I looked earlier today I couldn't find it on their site. Just the topics on here.
Much obliged good Sir. ;)

Also, I still think you have an awesome screenname.

Techkeys.us business card.

That was quick, I only ordered it a couple of hours ago!
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Interested to hear about this when you get it, I've been eyeing the Lenovo usb monitor but 1080p would be far nicer.
It's a good width!  If it's half-width it's too narrow, and full-width is too wide.

I've had several people asking me for a review so rest assured I will do one once it gets in.
@TBC: I intend to use it while traveling between offices so the supplied case should be fine for my use. But any good laptop or tablet stand would be fine for this is think?

my workspaces are cleared for 13" laptops + mouse space.

but this is a 15" monitor that requires that much desk space  AND none of that space is usable by the keyboard because the stand goes behind the screen.

i was thinking something that looked like a toblerone so that the monitor stand would only take up 3" in depth or so, leaving plenty of space for a keyboard in front.  alternatively, i was thinking of getting a single leg stand that i could suction cup to the back of the screen and flip out when i need it.

EDIT:

http://www.ladiesgadgets.com/asus-ultra-slim-monitor-with-ring-stand/

something petite like that

EDIT2:

http://www.macstories.net/reviews/macstories-product-review-aviiq-portable-quick-stand/

something like this might work if the screen is really bottom heavy and i add some sort of grippy material to the base of the screen

Another cheap *** desk chair and 3 monitor mounts.

You sound upset about the chair....
Only because this is how my first cheap chair has held up in a years time, the "leather" on the bottom started peeling off after I cleaned it one day, the arm rests
"leather" cracked so bad its better to rest my arms on plastic and one of the wheels broke off. I am happy I am getting a new one though, I am going to be a bit nicer to it. I guess it's hard to not break a chair when I am ~6'1 ~220 lol..

Duck Dynasty Season 4 blu-ray

Like, actual disks? That you have to put into a machine?

ummm...yes....I also use CD's in my car and actually buy them from the store.

i get weird looks when i buy CDs from best buy.

weirder looks when i make them price match them from amazon and the difference is a couple of cents.
No, he’s not around. How that sound to ya? Jot it down.

Got a blank FC660M w/ browns coming in a couple days. Haven't bought a 'board in a long time, but I couldn't resist when I saw this thing with blanks. Been using a Poker w/ reds as my main driver for about two years now; it'll be nice to have dedicated arrow keys again.
