OEM not for your tastes? It's my first mechanical keyboard, so kcaps didn't matter a whole lot, but I just find the stock QFR kcaps ugly, and I like blue :)

I have my techkeys order in the post as well as my aluminium caps from a GB too (some BrBa and other stuff).

Also my toil with my WASD continues and it is back to the US after I realised it was a 104 and not a 105. Hah... Well at least they are giving me a discount and a free wrist rest for the wrong order!
Can we get them to build the Alps ten feet higher and get Cherry to pay for it?

Wow, can't believe I have so many things coming to me right now.

-FC660M MX Greens (very excited! The reasons I got into mechs is because I liked an old typewriter I found. Tried blues and felt they were too light...So maybe this will be perfect?)
-FC660M-compatible white spacebar
-EK RGB Mods
-Bingecaps
-Gasmasks
-MX clear switches
-Sprit 60% PCB
-2 GON 60% plates - red and light purple

"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Assuming you mean the bag, I actually really wanted one; they're so nice looking and made especially for that size board. If only Leopold made something similar for the FC660C..

Two Alps SKCM Yellow ("taxi yellow") switches from this guy: http://www.blujay.com/item/Replacement-Keyboard-Switches-for-Apple-IIe-IIc-Computers-9010500-3138253

Possibly also some Alps SKCL Yellow and SKCL Green — I don't actually know.

I'm also still expecting some group buy keycaps from some group buy last year — space invaders, I think I ordered?

Got one of those a couple months ago!  Love it!  I think greens are really my cup of tea.  I haven't found myself getting tired after typing with them for extended periods of time, although I didn't try it out for any last minute papers.

My first Topre. I chose an ergonomically weighted one because of my fondness for a Key Tronic keyboard I found at my old job a few years ago. I might have gone with the 87U, but I think the 30g keys would be too light.

If I wasn't buying a used FC660C, I'd rather try an ergonomic weighted over a uniform; it doesn't really appear to me that using only one thing repeatedly is better than doing things with actual thought toward usage.

Well I'm still a fattie....I don't mind though. Makes typing a little bit harder when you require heavier springs but nicer when so few prefer MX Greens or Greys.

I prefer to call them Trucker Hands though. Just because so many of my elders were truckers and their fingers were so "thick".

Interested to hear this too, I want to go alu for my Filco eventually.
It's a good width!  If it's half-width it's too narrow, and full-width is too wide.

All three are Vortex.  I'd love an MKC aluminum case but there are 6-7 IIRC so I don't think I should hold my breath on one of those. I wanted to jump on the Originative buy since I liked that design but I was in between employment at the time and didn't need/couldn't justify another keyboard, I may have to get one of those if they ever show up used just to be thorough ;)

I need winkey for work and my home pc uses windows 8 so my Korean metal keyboard options are slim (KMAC 1/2 winkey, LZ-S like Sifo's, etc) and these satisfy my metal sweet tooth more than enough.  Still may get a KMAC or something and reanodize it black just for the hell of it, but functionally I don't expect a custom keyboard to be any more practical for me than a Filco and the case is more than enough to beef it up.

The Filco ping is extinct, I think that the way the Vortex case holds the PCB/Plate by sandwiching the bent edges of a stock Filco plate is superior to using standoffs, despite what Ripster had once said.  There's no pressure applied to the PCB as it is basically floating inside the case suspended by the bottom of the switches and using the plate as the anchor point is the sturdiest thing I can think of, I doubt you could flex the plate with any amount of typing pressure.

The nagging things that I miss/want in a different keyboard would be the ability to use off-centered Caps-Lock and to have an LED on the Escape and Scroll Lock keys to light up a few of my novelty keys, but the difference in price between a used Vortex Filco and a KMAC is pretty hard to justify for those just features.  I have a brown switch, bought a blue switch since it was my first switch type and I love it for long duration typing, and now have gotten a second brown switch for work.  I spend the rest of the money on thick PBT sets and other overpriced keys, so I'm pretty happy with my overall keyboard stable :)

tl;dr - Voted with my wallet, I really like the feel of a Filco in the case and think it's a worthwhile upgrade so I bought three

Were did you find stock? I thought mk was out of stock...
It's a good width!  If it's half-width it's too narrow, and full-width is too wide.

Brand new G80 and G81

I'll have a complete WoB kit, plenty spares once shine occurs, and some PCB-mounted MX Browns.

+1. MK has the silver ones in stock, but all the other good colors are out of stock. I am also looking to by a black alu case for my filco.

Black was the first one I bought :P Last March or April IIRC.  Just gotta hope someone gets tired of theirs, don't get your hopes up on me parting with mine.

G80 is love :D
(On an unrelated note, the side edges of the realforce in your signature are too thick. Those thin edges are the only thing I dislike on the realforce case... So that's not a bad thing in my book, but inaccurate. )

Wait, aren't the RF cases pretty thick? That's pretty much the only reason why I didn't like the look of them.
