Gotta love sun shine here at the tropics. This is the second parcel that arrived in Malaysia in days, not weeks. Super good!

Early birthday present from my parents

http://viberg.com/collections/footwear/products/service-boot-colour-8-chromexcel
So... standard military boots 100 years ago, $700 designer boots now. Interesting

Those shoe strings look like they would never stay tied. Would bug me to death

Leather laces take a while to break in, but once they do will stay tied just as well as anything else.

Of course, you could always replace them :thumb:

Got my first and last bingecap.  Also happened to be the last one of these in stock.

It's your last one? how come. They're awesome!

Because it was the last one that Binge had.

Yup they stay tied just fine.  Plus they stand up to welding, torching, and grinder sparks much better than synthetic laces do.

Here is what I wear for work boots.  http://www.carolinashoe.com/Product?stockNo=505

This is now in my BIL hands in Japan. He's coming back this Sun. I have both the blanks and printed caps! Didn't realize there's a box within a box!

Pity the boxes have to go though coz I don't want to ask my brother in law to carry the extra stuff and I think he wouldn't understand why I need the boxes. Sigh. It's so alone in this hobby.

Cherry replica set.
Crap bag.
A couple of Topre keycaps.

All keycaps :)
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Bought an HHKB over the weekend from elitekeyboards! (hopefully it is in the mail)

I keep thinking about buying one, but from what I hear after you buy one, you stop buying keyboards - because you have the best.

What if I don't want to stop buying keyboards? What if I like the addiction? :-)

Realforce Topre 104UB-DK from Massdrop.

will this be worth it? guess i'll find out soon enough!

I'm wondering the same thing! Got the shipping notice earlier.

Where did you get that monitor stand? Looks great for sushi... and my monitor. :D

Home Depot stand. It's a 24" wide piece of of poplar sitting on 4 pieces of children block. Perfect  size for a 27" monitor and fullsize keyboard.

Yup, proxying with Tenso. First experience buying from Japan so I hope it goes well :D

From the shipping estimate I should be saving $50 or so. It might take a little longer to get here but I think its worth it, especially since I'm still in school and don't have a full time job.
