These are the only crappy pictures I can find of this online, can't really find out much about it at all - Triumph Adler se 700 DS is the description of what I've bought.

Who knows, maybe more dyesubs, maybe a massive typewriter that I will take down the charity shop.
I got boards.

Nuclear Data Green is still in the mail.

A serial to USB adaptor should be in the mail very soon, if it is not already.
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

How does one even use this thing? And I have to write my own legends on paper with these keys? What garbage.

Why did I even pay more money to have less keyboard? I got ripped.

one that clacks, not quacks

Well if he wants clacking he can get this:

It'll quack at first, but if you "break it in" with a stick then it'll stop quacking and start clacking.
(wow that escalated quickly....)

Yeah last time I had to deal with them I was getting a pebble and it took three days longer than it should have.

after doing several transactions with other GH members (and others) I've come to realize that their 2 or 3 day priority mail doesn't include Saturday. This was the big advantage of using USPS priority mail. This might be cost cutting measures, but in reality, often times I've found the mail has reached the destination office and is languishing in the delivery post office.

Yeah, that sucks. It's not a huge deal because I can't use the 356 without the cable That TJCaustin is making for me, but man, I wish it would arrive already.

Sweet ;D

The sweet part was the price - about half of what they're going for on eBay at the moment. It's the first time I ever used Reddit for anything, and the transaction has gone very smoothly so far. The package was shipped within a couple hours of paying, and it should be in my hands on Saturday.

I don't know whether it's cute or irritating to see Americans complaining about shipping times. It took a whole week? Just one? However did you wait that long?

7 weeks later and I still don't have the freaking pen I ordered from the US.

It's all relative.  I could find one person who waited a year for something and that would make your 7 week wait seem insignificant.  While I do agree with your sentiment that people shouldn't complain, if we followed the "it could always be worse" mentality, then only one person in the world could justifiably complain.  And that just seems like a goofy way to live.  :P

Fair point, perhaps that was a bit too far. It just subjectively annoys me that despite there being "free trade" between the two countries shipping across the border is outlandishly expensive and takes 4-5 times as long as a general rule. I hope you can forgive me when I occasionally feel like throttling people for complaining that their cheap shipping took a day or two longer than they hoped it would.
