Cherry G81-8000HPBUS-2:

Apparently the bottom row of the Cherry board is pad printed (and off-center), so will need to find another source of doubleshot caps for those 7.

The only other source for DS caps for those 7 is GMK.

Just use bluetack

the capslock is wrong too, by the way. Off center.

I'm too inept/chicken to modify the capslock stem.  Looks like Techkeys  sells a decent replacement.

Am afraid to ask what I should do with bluetack.

You're gonna have a tough time finding DS WoB caps from GMK, since none have been made yet :p

Look towards the G80-8200HPBUS for centered bottom row. Not DS, but pad printed, which is almost as good, and as close as you're gonna get.

I almost got an 8200 instead of the 8000, but the only NIB I could find was $90 shipped.  Do pad printed Cherry keycaps still look ok after a few months of use?

No, they'll fade.

If you want ABSOLUTELY NO FADING EVER get doubleshot or dyseub. dyesub will fade a little bit after like a decade, though.

Customs will take about a day before it is transferred to your local post office. You won't have to pay any extra import taxes or duties. At least you shouldn't. You will probably have to have someone sign for it at the door though since it is such a high priced item. I had packages come in from Malaysia and Indonesia and same thing for both, it arrived in the states, went into customs for a day, got shipped to my local post office and then delivered to my front door.

Finally... it's PC upgrade time after nearly 6 years! My evga P55 with Xeon x3460 has served me well, but it can be demoted to my home server now.
On the way:
Dell Perc H310 + SFF8087 to sata cables (for the server, need more than 6 sata these days LOL).
Gigabyte X79 G.1 Assassin V2 + Xeon E5-2630L 6C/12T + 2011 mount adapter for my waterblock.

The new X79 stuff will replace the old as my main workstation/gaming PC. I almost went with an E5-1620 instead, but I decided it was worth trading some clock speed for extra cores and half the TDP. I hope I made a good choice. It's been a long time having the same PC and I'm really looking forward to a 40%ish performance bump. So excited!

Don't worry about US customs... there are no fees for incoming items until you're over $10K in value. :D Having items delayed for inspection is pretty rare.

Hope this is the case lol... My Seiko Diver's watch (a measly 300 dollars) was held for a week a couple years back. Seeing the words "Inbound to Customs" brings back bad memories.

This does make me feel a bit better lol. Already paid ~400 for the board, another fee on top of this would hinder my ability to join that Aluminum Leeku 1800 buy coming up!

My Classic Beige did that too. I was so glad Sheraton (Originative) actually shipped out my keyset but then it was held in limbo in CA before finally being delivered a week late.

I wish EMS was in America. I've never had a problem with a package shipped from them.
