Argh. It's been almost three days since the tracking updated. I wouldn't be as concerned if there had at least been a departure scan, but there wasn't. What are you doing with my keyboard, Tom HanksFedEx?

Oh... good eye! I've never noticed it either. Yeah it was this maker's first keycap attempt... He usually only makes cases I think.
His name is 린x3 (Linx3) Haha yeah so it's gonna have some flaws :0
I'm kind of scared about it but at least it will last me until I get the GMK :) (or I can use it for a heavy PBT set, I will have to see...)

I have no idea any more.  Seriously.

I received some KWKs in the mail a couple of days ago that I had forgotten about.  Completely forgotten about.  Even holding the package in my hot, sweaty hands (for 'twas 30 degrees C) I did not recognise the name and had absolutely no idea what was in that small package.

Not until I opened it did I see the printed insert in the ziplock bag and realised.

Or maybe I'm just going senile.

Either way I'm not going to try to guess what I have in the mail, I'll just be surprised :D
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Get package in the mail, have no idea WTF, oh it's that thing I backed like six months ago I remember now.

Keyboard should be here today. My dad should be happy when we both have to use this room for the time being, clears do not have the same CLACK as blues have.

I think I'd remember sending myself something.  At least I'd hope I'd remember sending myself something.

But some of these purchases were weeks or months ago, and I stopped keeping track of them a while back.

So I will probably hate myself for this, but I waited until I was exhausted at a bit after midnight and went to ebay to click the "Buy it now" button on a HHKB. I really cannot justify this spending in any way other than "but it looked really cool". You guys did warn me that my wallet would hate me for being here. I had it coming.

In other less exciting news, waiting for my Das keyboard with Cherry browns to arrive, but it'll be in direct competition with my Model M and will probably lose.

Picked up my Type-S with extra keycaps from the post office first thing this morning and got it set up at my desk. That's eight days from the time I placed the order with the proxy in Japan until the package was in my hands, though technically it was seven since they tried to delivery yesterday but no one was home to sign for it.

I have another very special item that's supposed to be delivered today, but I won't post about it until it gets here and has taken its rightful place on the keyboard.

My QFR with MX greens from Massdrop just shipped. I have a feeling I'll be selling or trading it for a lighter board in the not-too-distant future, but I'll at least have tried it.

landing pads from EK. Tried and loved the dental band mod but someone mentioned that it'll damage the rubber in the long run. I have to find a way to silence this keyboard, if it's the last thing I do!

Look up the dimensions of a WASD Code. Look up the dimensions of a FedEx Tube. and then cringe with me. (Hint: It's a triangle .4 inches wider than the keyboard, and about twice as long, and the triangular nature means there isn't actually room for the keyboard. *shudder* Fortunately it seems to have incurred no damage whatsoever from its crazy squishy journey to me.

Unfortunately my thumbs have taken quite a lot of damage. I'm not getting a board with Costar stabilizers ever again. >_>;

Clears, came without caps(good, I hate the way the Code caps look) hence messing with stabilizers to put on white with blue legend doubleshots. Looks good, have the backlight on the lowest setting to show between the keycaps and look cool. I'm liking the resistance of the clears so far, but I miss my CLACK. Clears do not clack. Costar stabilizers do though, damn these things are loud. Or I might have put them on badly. I can't tell past the burning hatred for all that lives these stabilizers have instilled in me.

Who shipped that to you? I've ordered two keyboards from WASD directly, and they came in nice, rectangular boxes with enough packing material that the keyboard didn't budge during UPS manhandling.

It was second-hand, yeah. They didn't have the original box anymore so I guess they went with what FedEx had that almost fit. Yikes.

Wasd makes a damn sturdy keyboard, though. :p I was expecting cracked plastic and a non-working board when I saw the packaging, but no.

(The secret, if you need to mail something long and thin but not that long and you don't have the original shipping box, is to grab several boxes the right size around, close the bottom of one, insert the open flaps of the next one so they overlap the open top flaps of the bottom, tape the hell out of it all around, and repeat as necessary. It's sturdy as all get out, and I'm talking 'Feel safe mailing 1200 dollar resin doll to the UK from California' sturdy.)

I have a set, and I really like them. It takes some time to get the fit right. I would not compare them to any high end set, but for Bluetooth they are the best I've used so far.
