Great choices! I've had one of my safaris since 2010 and the other since 2012. The nibs start out a little scratchy, but wear in very quickly and get much smoother. Lamy will have my business for the rest of my life.

They're almost twice the price of those two pens combined.  I wanted something cheap I could try out and find out what I preferred and wouldn't feel horrible if I lost it.  Maybe in the future I can look at one.

What makes those so special?

I went with the two since they were cheap, refillable (though you need to buy a cartridge for the Lamy), and both were recommended beginner pens.

Why? Want me to leave you two alone?

Really nice! Seeing the water damage inside that board made me sad. Glad to see another precious piece of keyboard history rescued from the scrap heap.

That, and I'm pretty sure I want a copper underlay now.

Nice one :)

It's amazing how well these clean up!
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

That's awesome! Take good care of her, she must want a good life for you and expresses it being tough and strict. Enjoy the mouse. Do the clicks really stand out? How are the ergonomics?

There is always a break in period, your back wont get better immediately, but don´t give up, everything gets awesome after some days.
