4 bros from the land down under! (rowdy's territory)

But not Rowdy's Bros, Rowdy hastens to advise :p
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

waiting for two sets of pbt keycaps i ordered from massdrop... and a new SAPPHIRE R9 390X BABY WOOOHOOO finally updating from my integrated gpu  ;D

That's a pretty big jump from integrated graphics.

heh, yeah it is. i've been using a macbook pro as my primary computer for the past year or so, and i recently decided i wanted to build a gaming machine. i was just waiting for amd to release their 300-series before i bought a gpu

:)) I did the same thing last year.
been running intel hd graphics 3000 which is VERY POWERFUL but all sarcasm aside, i'm excited to actually be playing aaa titles instead of indie games on my "gaming" pc. it's supposed to arrive today! the usps site said it was out for delivery!
Let's get this straight. There is nothing cool about keyboards we're all lame as fk.

speak for yourself

You can always get the 970 and an SLi capable motherboard and do that in the future.  It's not a bad way to go.  I am currently running 2x GTX-560 TI's in SLi  and I am very happy with it.
Edit: I had to update to show it is actually PCI-e 2.0 and the bus width is actually 320 bit.  Yep.  I don't think anyone understands that concept any longer.  (Hint: It is very fast.)

I'll have paid $565 for it. I took advantage of a deal that was going on when ebay had a 20% off promo code that allowed you to get a $75 max discount by buying multiple sets of gift cards XD

Eh, I still prefer two 290s in Crossfire rather than one 295X2. Plus buying XFX I get lifetime warranty on the things. I've already hooked myself up with their RMA a couple of times.  :D

If you have the room, for sure on the Crossfire.  I will never build anything larger than a mini tower again.  My current ITX build is nearly silent and sits on a little shelf out of the way.
It is now tucked into the shelf to the left of it leaving my desk completely open.

The 295x2 would fit into my current rig quite nicely  :thumb: As it is, my 280X with the direct cu cooler just barely fits.

Anyways, back on topic.  8GB of G-skill snipers are on their way for my daughters computer.   :thumb:
wut. i'd buy a ****ty IBM board for that green V2

Only if you have room and a large enough psu (and a portable a/c unit pointed at your rig)  :thumb:

Also, don't buy that card - reference 295x is quiter/cooler.  This one is just plain ridiculous.

I'm starting to lose track - Massdrop seems to be shipping a lot of drops I have participated in.

Dice, O-rings, keycaps, switch tester ...
