If/when I finally break down and buy a HHKB.  I think I will go straight for the type-S.

I like my FC660C, but the stabilized keys seem a little loud (I know I need to lube the wires).  Well, not that loud. But when all the other keys are so much quieter they stand out more.

Got some zealios coming in the mail. It has been really difficult finding some for sale on reddit because there seems to be a sudden rush of people needing them and Zeal is out of stock.

Leading Edge DC-3014

Battlestation 10 black 60% wrist rest

APC TH-5539 w/ Hebrew caps

I think that's it for now. Super excited for the DC-3014, but it's going to need some TLC restoration before it's minty fresh again. I'm still getting used to my indoor retrobrighting setup, but I think it'll be fine. I just need to wash off the solution every so often as opposed to letting it sit and simply reappying over the original coat like I used to do. The intensity is way too strong with my setup to let it sit for too long.

APC caps are going on my FAME.

BS10 rest for my Hammer Alps Eagle

Gonna be out of town when most of this stuff gets here, but everything should be fine. :)

Random question about all of the different keysets that I see around here with different legends: do people who get these legends actually use them or are they sort of a rarity thing?

If you like the heavier switch go mod the hhkb. 55g domes on hhkb is heavier than on the realforce. but I personally doesn't like the heavier domes on hhkb.

Thanks! I was close to pulling the trigger on an HHKB instead, but decided to go with a Realforce because I wanted a multipurpose board that could be used for gaming. The HHKB form factor/layout just seems too limiting. Even a TKL board will take a while to get used to since I had a bunch of stuff mapped to the numpad.

You can use an HHKB for gaming - I do.  Unless you have heavy dependence on function keys and/or arrow keys, in which case having to press two keys to get one function would be slightly limiting.

For most of the old FPS I play HHKB is fine.
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

But it's a keyboard that will last you for years, is customisable, is quiet or, depending on what switches you got, will bring back fond memories of rooms full of old typewriters.

It's a keyboard that will help you to avoid RSI.

Pok3r arriving here as well, two long weeks to go!

What would be the thread to ask about pok3r standard resistors? I absolutely, positively, want my pok3r to have red backlighting, but can't find the pre-soldered resistors' resistance anywhere.

I'm looking for red backlighting on a black keyboard. White pok3r just didn't seem right to me! The white case would look absolutely fantastic with blue lighting though.

I have the impression that the pcb was made to support bright lighting, so it'd work directly with green, blue, cyan and other blue'ish colors. Red, orange, yellow etc would need swapping the resistor, so I need to know the original resistor's ohm rating to get new ones.

Got a lot of Alps boards that are on the way (probably to much lol). Still plan on buying more if i can find a ABS M1 and Ducky 1008XM.  I'm going to paint one of the NTC boards matte black and get a sleeved non coiled cable for it, i wonder if theres a way to fit a 5pin to PS/2 to USB adapter inside the case

Damn, I sold an ABS M1 about a month ago.  Personally, I found that when typing it produced too much of an almost ringing or chiming sound but otherwise it was a nice board.

Ah haha its been pretty difficult finding one, i PM'd someone a few days ago but they also sold theirs to someone else lol.  It was probably "ping" being produced when typing, although i personally dont mind ping, i think swapping out the switches would have lessened it.  Do you remember who you sold the ABS M1 to? Maybe they still have it  :))

I sold it over on reddit's /r/MechMarket to a user named Fauscailt so he may still have it.  Doesn't look like he has been too active recently in the last couple weeks over there though.

NTC KB-6251 Green linear Hua-Jie AK, plastic plate, German layout
NTC KB-6251EA SKCM White, steel plate
Datacomp DFK192 SKCM White, ISO German layout
Zenith Z-150 SKCL Green (my third one haha)

Damn, I sold an ABS M1 about a month ago.  Personally, I found that when typing it produced too much of an almost ringing or chiming sound but otherwise it was a nice board.

It's been painful after selling my Dell at101w to fund this. No alps for like 4 months. I had to resort to *shivers* mx blacks.

My SHARP X68000 just arrived in my city today. I'm flying out to a different continent tonight and won't be back for three weeks. :))
