I have been waiting on a postal scale and a wireless sensei mouse for over a week now. If I don't get it delivered tomorrow I'm going to lose my mind on both Amazon and UPS.  Two day delivery! I ordered it 10 days ago!

My SHARP X68000 just arrived in my city today. I'm flying out to a different continent tonight and won't be back for three weeks. :))

Is that a vintage computer?

Yeah, they are basically computers that were designed to be used as "home arcade machines". They were almost exclusively sold in Japan if I recall. I didn't actually buy the whole PC, just the keyboard. The X68K came in both white and black, I got the black one. Here is a picture I found of the whole black computer:

And white:

They keyboards are particularly interesting because all units yet seen on keyboarding forums have had Green Alps SKCL switches. Here's a picture reel of the board I bought:

I proxy anything including keyboards (キーボード / 鍵盤), from both Japan (日本) and China (中國). For more information, you may visit my dedicated webpage here: https://www.keyboards.es/proxying.html

I search google and use the GH, DT, and reddit search function for people who list or talk about said switch/keyboard and PM them asking if they would sell, this has worked extremely well for me. I have about 185 SKCL greens in the mail that i bought recently.  Theres also someone locally whos selling a Zenith Z-150 SKCL green with PC, im debating to pick it up.

I haven't tried 60/40 yet.   63/37 was recomended in "The Living Soldering Thread", and I've been using it ever since.

The real question is, why do people keep saying that the "Out of the Vault - Junktown Keys" are in the mail when there was literally an update today that said production will be done within the next week or so? It's not even close to being shipped out.

Because I bought it and I'm waiting for it to arrive. Isn't that the point of this post?

Threads like this don't need to be too specific, otherwise we'll end up with dozens of threads about almost the same thing.

"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

I guess it applies both ways but usually when I see somebody post something here I usually get excited(if the item is interesting) for them and expect to seem some pics in "What did you get in the mail today?" within the coming days. If we just list off everything that we're waiting for then I could fill this page. I'm just being nit picky honestly, I don't necessarily watch the GBs all the time for status updates so if I see somebody post an item that I too am waiting for then I get excited expecting mine to ship soon.

That would account for North American members, the rest of us poor sods have to wait 2 or 3 weeks, occasionally longer, to receive our goodies!
