Just got this in the mail! Canadapost is pretty amazing, this only took a week to go from Quebec to California and was 5 days ahead of the initial estimated delivery date.

The case is a bit yellowed but it types perfectly and I got it for a good deal so I'm happy :)

Thanks! It's a model from 2007(!!) but it feels great to type on.

The yellowing bothers me slightly but I don't have the time to go through that whole retrobright process and disassemble the whole thing unfortunately :(

A new car headlight.. oh wait did I already tell you about that?

Very illuminating.
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada
