That'll sit on the NumLock pretty well I'd say.

In other news, will be recieving a full valentines set (minus the ISO set) from Rayuki's most recent sale and another keyboard also. Can't wait.

They don't ship to the U.S. either. They really don't want me to have that keyboard deal. :(

It's usually the other way around. I've seen couple of places in the States selling it for couple more dollars.

Wow, lowest I've seen.  But I had some pretty bad luck with these boards at Fry's.  Probably the fry's in my location just had a huge batch of bad boards.

Yeah I think a lot of the franchise stores have problems with there boards because the local Microcenter by me is always getting boards returned to them because they stop working or don't work right out of the box.

Yeah, Fry's buys in large batches which tend to move very slowly. So when there's a bad batch (as CM has already said is the case), there's a disproportionate number of defective boards through the major retailers because they ordered a 2-3 MONTH supply out of that bad batch. Amazon went low stock/OOS on these, so they should all be good batch.
And even if they aren't, CM will definitely exchange them under warranty. So pretty much zero risk even if you do happen to get a bad one.

QFR blues from Amazon. With the sale price and my card points, it was too good to pass up. Should get here tomorrow! The funny thing is that I ordered a QFR with browns for my bro-in-law on Tuesday which should get here today.

Two consecutive days, two QFRs ordered. Dare I go 3 for 3????

A generous member donated one to me, on my quest to find the perfect yellow for keycaps.  I have no Topre board, so this is just to compare the Topre yellow colour with the various MX yellows I already have.

  • Missed another sale.
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada
