Where can I buy a Griffin imate in the UK?
« on: Wed, 23 June 2010, 05:59:38 »
Or anywhere else in the world for that matter?!

Hi there guys! I had a look for the 'introduce yourself thread' but I couldn't find one.. So..

I'm Jim from the UK, I'm a PhD student at Bristol and I lllluuuuurrrrreeee a good keyboard/mouse.

Anyway.. I'm desperately trying to find an imate USB adaptor so I can use my extended II's and my newly acquired macally enhanced keyboard thingy...

I can't seem to find one anywhere? Griffin have discontinued them :(, most other online retailers in the UK advertise them but they don't have any in stock.

I have seen a couple on ebay.com but there is no way I want to pay £60 + postage!

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks guys.

Jim.

In the US ThinkGeek still sells them for $37.

There's a seller on eBay who occasionally posts what look like home made ADB converters. I suspect, though I'm not certain, that they'd be kbdbabel adapters (as I believe there is a kbdbabel ADB converter). I believe the computer end is PS/2.

They're not hard to find because it's a particularly difficult thing to do so much as the demand for them is just incredibly low.

I ended up buying one of these... Hopefully it will work? I'll most likely have to find one new drivers for snow leopard.

I'll keep you posted when it arrives.
