Keyboard of the Month - November - Vote
« on: Tue, 08 December 2015, 06:00:00 »
So, the last poll of the year. I am currently sat on my floor to write up this poll as the other computers I have access to on my week off are all awful.

More

Because I can't decide between Matt3o's White Fox and Jeffgran's ManuForm, who both got 3 +1s, I've decided to include them both.

So here are the nominees:

First up is Jeffgran's ergonomic ManuForm

His build log can be found here

Next is Matt3o's long project, the White Fox

The White Fox's journey can be found here and it will be coming soon to a GB near you!

Next is E3E's custom built Duck Eagle with hot swappable Alps switches and LEDs

There is a lot more info on the board in the build log here.

Finally is pr0ximity's lovingly rebuilt Model F

His restoration log is here complete with fantastic photos.

So, the poll will run for seven days as always, and the winner will go through to the Keyboard of the Year vote which will start next week!

Can we get them to build the Alps ten feet higher and get Cherry to pay for it?

I've reluctantly managed to narrow it down to 2, and then to 1.

Very difficult choice this month!

We have a VERY decent amount of votes going to every board, despite the extra entrant. I'm glad we have such great boards to bring people in to vote this month!
Can we get them to build the Alps ten feet higher and get Cherry to pay for it?

I always feel like posting in a thread where I've been nominated for anything is a huge jinx, but I'm honored to at least have made it this far. This is the first time I've ever had a board nominated and move on to the voting stage (I tried to nominate my infinity board months ago, lol), so thank you to everyone who has helped. I feel so tense. Everyone's boards are so unique to each other this time around! This is a crazy solid month for KOTM.

With everything around WhiteFox and its group buy just around the corner, it seems like it's gonna be tough to get anywhere close to the top, haha. Good luck to everyone, seriously. I'm so anxious about this. xD

Now the best thing with KOTM I think is that it brings forward awesome boards you might have missed from other threads, and this month... very awesome boards across the.. board, really! I'm siding with you on this one, though. Alps brothers in arms!  ;) But I admit, it was NOT an easy choice this month! I just love the creativity and diversity on this forum! And I just had another cup of coffee, so.. YEEY!! :D

:D Alps unity! I definitely agree though. I hadn't seen any of these boards here until KOTM came rolling around, so it's definitely a great way to give a little exposure to some beloved keyboards and pet projects.  :thumb:

Yeah, holy crap. I can't believe I won both. It's a huge honor and really, just... What a way to end a year in this hobby. I'm overjoyed! I couldn't ask for anything more. I'm super happy I won, but I'm also really happy to help people build their customs and help them get their builds up off the ground. The little bit of assembly service I've been doing for others has been really fun, even if some have required a bit of troubleshooting to get done. :)

I've had a great time in this community so far (scammers aside :-X). :D

Oh, and my foray into Alps. Before, I was pretty much just an observer, just checking out MX boards like anyone else, but once Alps fell onto my radar, I became a lot more involved. There's something really charming about those switches and the keyboards they came in. :)
