g700 has serious tracking issues if used on a 64bit system with setpoint.
the avago laser (g500,g700,g9x) has hardware based acceleration, which logitech have admitted to causing tracking issues during small movements (aiming).
also in an attempt to fix this via setpoint and firmware users found it caused a huge problem with lag on 64bit systems.
logitech will never fix this probem as the team they set aside to deal with the problem apparently "could not re-create the issue".
this is after hundreds of complaints were made by gamers worldwide.
now they decide to delete posts relating to the issue on the support forum and ignore users requests for help/answers.
while continuing to sell the mice as gaming grade!!!
i speak after years of poking them for responses and working with other highly experienced users in an attempt to solve the problem ourselves.
the best you can hope for is to never install setpoint and only have use of 5 of the 11 buttons (g500, not sure how many buttons on the 700), and do without sensitivity control outside the game, or to try accounting for the lag/accel. combo during gameplay.
i'd get a razer anyday, they dont fit my hand so well, but thats easily modded and the tracking on them is simply incredible.
the only issue i had with my copperhead is the pad placement and overhung edges which led to the mouse tilting during sweeps due to pressure on the edges, but the newer designs have a wider more triangular footprint which should solve that issue.
