It's skiing season. Time to remake another classic.

DISCORD IC FORM

---
K I T T I N G

304439-1
Base kit. Includes support for alice, limited 40s, HHKB, etc. I made a mistake, there's an extra ansi enter.

304443-3
Alert kit, with cooooolllll translucent keycaps

304445-4
R5 kit. Will consider adding this to base to replace R4.

304447-5
Relegendables kit. Includes front print from ESC to F12 and 10 blanks.

-----
C O L O R S

Colors will be matched to GMK N9/V2.

Aiming for
- $95 for Base kit
- $35 for Nordeuk kit
- $20 for Relegendables kit
- $30 for Alert kit
- $25 for R5 kit

Get color chip samples + translucent samples from KKB

---
F E E D B A C K

( 1 ) Reverse colored accent keys. I know previous sets ran with them, but i dont like the look personally. Will look into it if there's demand, but also need to figure out which child kit to put them into (base already pretty cramped)

( 2 ) Macro expansion keys. I would love row correct macro column with F1-F10, but it will likely depend on demand.

( 3 ) Second 2.2u shift key & 2u shift. Should be ok to add to base kit. No promises though.

( 4 ) Second B. Important addition to base kit.

( 5 ) Redundant ANSI enter. Will be removed.

( 6 ) Considering R5 in base. I dont think it'll make it as a separate child kit.

( 7 ) 10u? Will ask KKB if they have molds. Likely will be an add-on.

( 8 ) Windowed Scroll Lock. Wasn't in original Skidata keyboard. But i understand it might be weird if we have other windowed keys. Will include if not too expensive.

( 9 ) 1u Spacebar. Should be ok to add to base kit. No promises though.

( 10 ) R1 backspace in Alert kit. Should be ok to add.

( 11 ) 1u Alt Gr in base kit will be changed to 1u Alt. It's too cramped for me as well.

( 12 ) R2 |\ will be removed in favor of R1 |\ in alert kit.

( 13 ) Orange relegendables? Think it's a hard sell, might be a pass on this one.  :(

( 14 ) Thinking of ways to make Nordeuk work. Am considering buying out MOQ.

Please consider adding a second 2.25u shift key for proper Type-K support. You could replace the redundant enter key. ;)

This is just great to see. Will probably pick up most of the kits.

Do KKB do custom moulds, cause I think it would be really cool to see 10u or BAE or something like that if that's possible.

AltGr in base? That's the most based thing I've seen this week. Also nordeuk?!
And 2x 3u space in base? Wow.

And here I was thinking I definitely didn't need another dark set. Turns out I do. I need to show my support for this kind of kitting.

That said I don't understand the extra Q and M keys at all :-P
Also I don't get the transparency thing. I'd rather have an accept set with reversed colors.

They do but it's extremely expensive. There have been a few attempts at getting them to make a BAE but I'm pretty sure it's not really getting anywhere due to cost.

If Nordeuk kit doesn't make it, would you be open to adding ISO-UK to base? This is quite common for KKB, I don't think it adds much cost and gets at least for me what I want.

One suggestion is that I think the 1u Alt Gr key looks too cramped on previous sets (including my own lol). Any chance of replacing it with just a second 1u Alt?

Yes! My original thought is to push for nordeuk sales by putting UK ISO here, but depending on how the IC goes, will either put them in base or consider buying out nordeuk kits.

Love this & would be totally down to grab a set if you go with R5 in the base (I already have SkIIdata). Also how comes no extra B for Alice layout? You get the extra bars in the base, might as well add the extra B in.

You're an absolute legend for running this set again. Please do consider adding the orange accents to the base kit though, otherwise I feel it's pointless to offer two 2.25u enters if they both look the same. The semi-translucent accent row kit is an interesting idea, will have to see how it pans out. Definitely interested in this one

Do you know if there is a Cherry manufacture that does R5 spacebars? Last I heard GMK only has R4, but that doesn't mean R5 isn't out there somewhere.

I would assume the II comes from GMK SkIIdata being the second run of this colorway that was manufactured by GMK. Drop probably took that name not knowing any better (or they were looking to avoid potential trademark issues). The Austrian company that the original Cherry orange-on-black keyboard/keyset was made for is called Skidata, with one I.

Yup. Skiidata with two ‘I’s I believe was the name TKC gave this set when they ran it as a R2 of this N9/V2 colorway. The DCX project was an extension of this GMK project afaik, so the name stuck.

Skidata with one ‘I’ is the original, I think.

ALMOST a little upset that there's no skiing novelties incorporated for ski season.

That being said, that's a great price, kitting looks great. GLWIC!
