Book Flipthroughs

(1/1)

tp4tissue:
Watching art book flip-throughs on the internet because Tp4 = 2p00r. They're honestly ridiculously expensive.

Is almost like stealing?
NE gu'd ones you guys have seen?

_rubik:
This further reinforces my belief that most photography/art/coffee books are more of a status symbol than a collection of meaningful content. You're paying that much just to _have_ the book and show other people what you own. Most of that content can be found online in one form of another

tp4tissue:
Other than invoking the doomsday arc, there's no real reason to print so much paper.

We have 50,000 to 250,000 TONS of unsold books every year. That's alot of trees cut down for nothing, ontop of energy and plastics.

I wont disagree with you there. The economy of scale in book publishing means it's cheaper for publishers to print more than they'll need than to reprint according to demand.

This is why people should steal all z'books on dat internet. Capitalism is only profitable on destruction.

Piracy to save the planet.
