Eh.  We have country music in the north too.  And country fest upon country fest.  I know it's not as prominent as in the south, but it's definitely here.

I started on a Keto diet last Thursday. So trying to keep carb intake around 50g a day. However I am not manically counting every gram I eat. I just keep away from processed foods and think more about what I stuff into my mouth. So far it is pretty good.

The pros and cons so far have been:
+ No hunger (except for the first two days when starting)
+ Feel energetic in the morning
+ No hunt for sugar highs to feel energized
+ I can eat almost all the fatty foods i like! Mmm... Cheese... Bacon...
- I cannot eat all the sugary stuff I like :(
- A bit more expensive than regular diet

Anyways, I am trying this out for a couple of weeks to see how it goes then decide what to do.

- A bit more expensive than regular diet

Anyways, I am trying this out for a couple of weeks to see how it goes then decide what to do.

I am on the keto diet. I stay under 20g per day though.

I do agree with your pros, and one of your cons, but I don't necessarily think it's more expensive than a regular diet. It's really all relative to what you eat and how much. Maybe it your case, it is. Of course, if I choose to eat a steak for one dinner versus bologna sandwiches for a week, it comes out cheaper.

I think the biggest thing I've noticed is that it has had an added effect on me of causing me to want to choose better foods to eat, so the price has definitely increased. Though that's not necessarily a bad thing.

I will say this: I probably have the biggest sweet tooth of anyone you will ever meet. People always wonder how I can handle this diet. I think I have pretty good control of my will. I have always made an effort not to try all of the sweet recipes that people come up with to comfort themselves during this diet. I've always felt like that would just remind me of what I'm missing and make me want it even more. Best to keep it out of your mind and focus on the good things like bacon and cheese on everything.

Also, don't try to cheat every week. It defeats the whole purpose. I personally don't cheat at all, but if you must, try to get as much time on the diet in as you can before doing so.

"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Hell yeah this is healthy, and really tasty

(and tbh I'm partly eating this because I'm "a bit" insecure  :-[ I'm not fat but I'm not healthy either and I want to make the most out of my crazy teenager nerd metabolism, which did a lot of work, because after looking in the mirror, compared to last year, I've not done anything different when it comes to lifestyle and yet there's a noticeable amount less "covering" (?) fat, and I'm starting to slip out of pants which I bought 1-2 years ago again)

(...)Whereas back then I wrote about the tyranny of the majority, today I'd combine that with the tyranny of the minorities. These days, you have to be careful of both. They both want to control you. The first group, by making you do the same thing over and over again. The second group is indicated by the letters I get from the Vassar girls who want me to put more women's lib in The Martian Chronicles, or from blacks who want more black people in Dandelion Wine.
I say to both bunches, Whether you're a majority or minority, bug off! To hell with anybody who wants to tell me what to write. Veggie burger tonight. I make one almost weekly.
I used ready-made burger patties today, but I often make my own from falafel flour (gram flour) that I let soak in an egg and with some mashed beans.
Toppings are often: lettuce or baby spinach, mayonnaise, mustard, cheddar, ketchup, pickled gherkin, fried tomato, fried onion.

I slice a whole tomato and fry the slices until they are mushy and much reduced in size and concentrated in flavour. Properly cooked tomato has much natural mono-sodium glutamate, where as raw tomato has very little (this is also why ketchup is so good and why there is such a difference between properly cooked vs. bad marinara sauce).
I cook my burgers first by frying both sides; then I place cheese on top and tomato and onion and then I place a lid over and cook on low heat: this melts the cheese and cooks the patty through.

hot pot is so easy to do, all you need is stock (beef, chicken, seafood,... depends on which one you like) and some vegetable to push up the flavor like lotus roots, mushroom, some tofu, five spices,... and many kind of beef (or seafood, chicken, pork, lamb,...) The stock is served on a stove (so that's why they call it hot) and some additional veg, egg noodle along with meat

a picture worth thousands of words :p

I couldn't imagine eating something like that for breakfast!

When I do eat breakfast, just a couple slices of toast or cereal.

Cereal you say? I eat cereal for breakfast too. 0.5 kg of cereal with raw milk. Then, I don't have to eat until dinner.

For years my second breakfast has been 40g rolled oats, 10g hazelnuts, 10g walnuts, 30g whey protein powder, and a few mg of sucralose. I measure it out into ziplocks en-masse and keep it in the fridge/freezer. I don't like regular cereal type breakfasts when I wake up though, and generally feel like eating something meaty or fatty like eggs, bacon, leftover takeaways, etc.

ah, yeah, breakfasts.

Their society breaks down into subsections of minorities who then, in effect, burn books by banning them. All this political correctness that's rampant on campuses is b.s.

"The full Irish" breakfast

Black pudding, white pudding, sausage, ham, egg, mushrooms, tomato, and potato. Washed it down with a delicious Irish beer (the name escapes me right now)
