Most of my forum interaction lately is from tapatalk and I'm still using an old version (4.9.5) because the newer version was horrible last time I tried it but it's been a while.

My notifications haven't worked for months and I'm tired of manually updating all my apps to avoid the tapatalk upgrade.

I'm curious to know the thoughts of those using the current tapatalk release, is it any good now?

I'm on android for reference.

The whole getting quoted thing is weird for me because it cathes some of them but NOT all.
I'm using the latest version of Tapatalk and I DO NOT LIKE IT.
UI is not intuitive for me and I often just look for a sec then close it. I MUCH prefer using a computer.

edit: I'm using the Android version.

It still sucks because the notifications don't work properly. At times, it can be flawless, but in the past month I've been getting notified of all of my own replies/posts, so now I've gotten used to ignoring them.
Except now I'll overlook PMs and quoted replies.

i also use the latest android version

i only use it for pm's now though

notifications don't work nearly as reliably enough to be useful

plus lately the data-saving option for not showing images until the image frame is tapped is not working, so i can't really browse threads anymore otherwise my mobile data allowance would get ravaged by 4MB photos in media threads

I am using the latest on iOS and I must say I like it very much. The current iteration of Tapatalk has many things to like about. The presentation is nicer and pleasing to the eye. The Feed is working properly, as it will aggregate your subscribed threads from many forums and put them into one view. And I like the You, where it chronicle even threads that you have answered. It made it very easy to trace back to a thread you are participating in. I'd highly recommend the upgrade.

Anyone like the current version on android?

Is it any better a year later?
