Today, I am very excited to bring this project to the final GB stage, a keyboard which I was working on for half a year and it is also my first personal design:

Specifications:
1. Made with 6063 aluminum for case body, brass for plate and weight.

4. Nett weight of each keyboard case is approximately 2.1KG.
5. Premium materials will be used for the packaging of each keyboard. Boxes will include all case accessories inside eg: 16 pcs of rubber dampers, screws in M3 sizing and rubber feet.

A: We will provide a set of gaskets for you, but you also can buy whatever gasket, silicon, rubber stripes with the same size we provided. It is not hard to find from the market. (Considered the gasket aging problem in, we have chosen the popular types of gasket instead of customized gasket)
How can I get the PC or brass during the google form GB?

I have discussed with many users in my discord server, and here is the new solution: GB will be 2 different timing, same day(9th March)but 1 hour difference. First one will be PC/brass version, second one will be alum version). I will announce the PC/Brass winner few minutes after PC/Brass GB has finished, so all the participants will know whether you get in or out. Good Luck for everyone!

(Here is my solution: FSFC is the baseline, 75+10+5 is 90 pieces, if you are in first 90 orders, you can get the ticket(at least a set of alum kit, because I have alum MOQ and I can't give all of your PC or Brass, if I don't hit Alum MOQ, I am in trouble and I can't answer to factory, hope you can understand). So after choosing your first alum set, you can move to section 2 which is PC or Brass or None.
At here, at least, you get an alum set.
Second, you can pick PC/Brass/None. It will be a multiple choice.
if you are fast enough(at first 10 PC picker or 5 Brass picker), You can buy (alum + PC, 2 sets) or (alum + brass, 2 sets) or give up your alum kit(Kit will give to No.91 buyer) and just take PC/brass.)

The Volcano PCB is customized by clueboard team, we did some adjustments for USB port, added 3 led slots and etc. But I have talked with skully from clueboard. They will change their 660 PCB design to V660's type in the future. (Confirmed with skully few mins ago)

Yep! Trying to find out what the default UV coating is vs copper coating vs PVD. Copper would be cool but don't know much about how it holds up.

Maybe I'm just new to this, but why is the Paypal fee 5.2%? I thought it was like 4.4%?pp states that international fee will be 4.4% + fixed rate, but I checked many of my previous payments, it is between 5% - 5.6%. I don't know why and all the seller or GB runner are complaining about PP, so I am thinking that maybe we can use Stripe which is suggested by many of discord users.

PC case is lighter than aluminum, so you need the brass weight to increase the weight. I think volcano's brass is quite large

WOW!!! Yeah the PC version is mighty impressive! These pics made me even sadder I had to pass on this GB. I had already got a spot for a E6.5 a few days before the GB date was announced & decide to keep the guaranteed spot vs possibly not getting one here. Oh well there's always the second hand market in the future.

Buys like this are usually the product of one person producing them in their free time. Manufacturing dozens of keyboards, coordinating manufacturers, interacting with customers, shipping around the world... is a BIG job with lots of effort required. They have to limit their runs in order to help keep it manageable and successful. Just the way it goes.

How are we looking at the production? Are we still on track for mid-June?Not sure if your are in the discord or not (but you should be! :) ) but Louis posted a few days ago that the CNC process is completed for all of the brass and aluminum boards! PC had a receheck with all of the PC buyers due to the color of the PC when it’s as thick as it needs to be for volcano, and that was approved by all buyers quick.
Next up is Anno and QC, then the much anticipated shipping! Last word was that all is on track or ahead of estimates :)

Updates for volcano(Sep 25th)
As we know, we had some of the anodising issue. It affects some of the blue, green and some grey kits.
Today, I just received some pics and vidoes from factory, factory says due to the raw material problem(6063 series alum), the final product is still not idea(This is 3rd rounds we failed).
As the pic shows, there is a white stripe on the side surface, it is not that visible but I don't accept that. This is normal appearance on all the alum keyboard kits even for TGR boards, some raw material doesn't have this problem, but some does.
I already put 1 year on this project and I don't want to give up. As designer but also keyboard enthusiast like you guys, I want to deliver a really high end keyboard to all the buyers, from inside to outside, all the detail parts I cared, Volcano is my faith. I will try my best.
Sorry for the things we screwed it up T.T
I will ask factory to use Kobe 5052 or 7075 to redo those kits, they promised it is good but I need to let all the buyers know first before we process the work, should be 10 more days to redo those kits.
