Uhm... I think I'll need a ride. Also I'm fine with pitching in $10. I still want sushi though. And I'm bringing cake, or cupcakes, not sure. gf be making them ^^ gonna be keyboard themed I believe.

I'd pitch for a hotel, but I would also prefer to go get sushi. As cool as keyboards are, after all day touring and looking at keyboards, I think I'd just want to hang out. Maybe touch a few boards
As for vehicles, I'll be driving, but tiny car. Depending if I'll be bringing Youngmichael or not, I may have room for 1 person, possibly 2.
And if anyone lives near.....I'll have to think of my friends address...odds are I'll be drinking there afterwords.
Can we get a list of what boards people want to try, so we can fill the spots, and not end up with too many of the same thing? I know I'd like to try some alps and a model F. Possibly HHKB and 55g topre.

I guess I do admit, from 12:30 to 4:30 at Matias is a pretty long tour.  If we cram in sushi and meeting room it might extend till 9:00 or so.

Should we just do sushi dinner to finish off the day.  That way it will be a bit more relaxed and if anyone want to head off after for anything then they'll still have the time to do so.

So everyone feel free to bring as many keyboards as they want but keep in mind that we'll most likely be showcasing it at sushi restaurant so maybe just bring 1 or 2 really cool ones.  I also vote for HHKB, Topre and any buckling spring type keyboards for the "want to see" list 

I'll also look into public transportation routes to see if it's possible.  Ideally I'll try to arrange carpool for everyone.  I'll just check this up for "worst case scenario".

An alternative would be to split the cost of a Zip car, or few. Takes a week or two to get your card, but apparently it's pretty convenient. I was thinking of signing up while I was in San Jose, California recently.

It's a bit tedious to get there by GO Train and stuff.  I'm trying to see if there's GO Bus that will get there but it's looking more and more likely that we should just drive there (since it's next to highway and not close to any GO station).

Then we can go from there to Matias which will be a 15 minute trip or so.

There would definitely be buses going towards Heartland (that's basically where Matias is, the far end of it). That's worst case scenario for now however. I'm totally ok with picking them up from the streetsville go station to drive to Matias and back to it if there's a settled "return" time.

Just throwing this one out there, there's a place that's not that far from Matias called Bubble Republic where we can sit down for some bubble tea. Not too badly priced either (the typical posh bubble tea costs 5 bucks or so).

It all just depends what time we go since it can get pretty busy into the evening

Just realized I live basically down the street from the matias factory.... But I am confused Tri-Add MAKES and delivers Matias' stuff? I thought they were just a logistics company.

Hmmm Japanese, Japanese.... Nothing close by unfortunately that I can think of =/ This is kind of the "industrial/business" side of Mississauga. There's axia that's by Erin Mills Shopping center but that's closer to where I live about 15-20 minutes away from Matias. They do however serve food at Bubble Republic (typical Asian styled cuisine (Chinese, Thai, etc.)). But that's as far as my knowledge goes as a white guy hah

Edit: They do have some food places in Heartland like East Side Mario's (really don't like this place personally), annnnnd Milestones (there might be one more that I'm missing in that list). Much more fast food joints though.

Uh based from what I've gathered with my conversation with Edgar Matias, I think all the keyboards are made in Taiwan or China and the Mississauga location is just a warehouse.  The Newmarket location is just for receiving mail.

They also say there are a lot of companies in that building so I'm not exactly sure what the relation with Tri-Add is lol.

And thanks kraise for making this list.  Haha good to have a Mississauga expert here    I've taken a look they all seem similar priced I guess we just have to decide which type of food we want (General Japanese Food, Teppanyaki, All You Can Eat, Thai/Viet Food... etc).

Though since we want to display our stuff, I'll probably call them and see if any of them have private booth.  I'll keep you guys updated

From Matias to Prince Sushi, it should be a drive less than 15 min, even with traffic. I used to live on Barondale and work on Matheson/Mavis.

Andddddd there's still 3 weeks left so if everyone can tell me where you'll be coming from that would make it easier for me to arrange car pool.  If I remember correctly I think we have like 2-3 cars going from Mississauga.  1 car from Markham.  I'll be coming from Toronto.  Halverson is coming from out of town but I think he/she has a small car so probably easier for him/her to go directly there.

For those that will be coming with public transit, let me know where would be a good place to pick you up.

Example In Toronto:  Union Station, Yonge/Finch Station, or Downsview Station.

Example In Mississauga:  Cooksville GO Station, Streetsville GO Station, or Meadowvale GO Station.
