I think he's just doing that to make a point.
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

I voted for even smaller ones, any larger than they used to be is just a waste of space. I know one of the arguments to make them larger was to better show off the avatar art, but that's just a sign of a bad artist.

Edit; Just to clarify; not meant as an attack on anyone on GH who does make avatars(1 or 2 people from what I've seen), they make decent art, it's meant as an attack on one of the arguments used to justify the increase in avatar size.
That said; if you need 150+ px avatars for it to work, then it's bad avatar art. Not bad art, just bad avatar art. Avatar art is about getting stuff across with limited space, not how much you can cram into the space you have.

That's right...baldgye is still here. One of the things that sucks about tapatalk is I'm subjected to the drivel that are his "posts". How are you "opinions" coming along man? Still posting bull**** from what I can see. Caps working out for you? I hope youve convinced more people with caps, a billion question marks, and vaguely masked attacks. Does tapatalk have an ignore function?

I guess if you dislike my posts, can't argue against my opinions and have no restraint that not being able to auto ignore my posts would be a problem.

Though I should point out that my last post was deadly serious and I do consider these 'more restrictive' avys to be against America and thus Fredom

If anything we need to remove avatars and sigs altogether because of the artistic rift it creates between the community and limit posts to 40 words, because if you can’t say what you need to in 40 words then you

In line with that, all posts should also be restricted to size 6 font.

By the way, I just installed Stylish and AggieJY's style (A fixed width theme with smaller (64px) avatars and more gray instead of tan/light-orange). You can always change the fixed avatar size to 100px with ease.

It definitely makes browsing easier for several reasons. The avatar sizes are fixed, the color of the page is easier to read, and the forum is centered. Try it out if you're curious.

Thanks AggieJY. This is perfect :)

This is amazing, you lot can keep your oversized avatars for all I care, I'm never gonna turn back. Although it would be nice with one that worked with the nostalgia theme, although I suppose I can edit the userstyle myself somehow.

Yes, I'm sure it is possible. Maybe AggieJY can create one for each theme. It should only take a little bit of copy&pasting.
