Thanks for my time
« on: Sun, 02 June 2013, 03:03:23 »
Hey guys. I'm leaving geekhack, at least for a few months.

Thanks to all the cool guys I've met during my time.

Will do a sale on monday, a big box full of different keyboards/keyboardstuff, I dont want to get rid of it in parts, so just a big box. Shipping will be expensive, but the box wont.

cheers =)

EDIT: Will still lurk for cc's sales. =)

Please pm me if I have anything left to pay for in GB's and anything like that.

Hope you are planning to come back, or at least visit from time to time.
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

If I'd had some money left over maybe I would've bought that box of yours. Would've been the best in terms of shipping. :>

Well, anyway, it was nice meeting you, but do make sure to come back. We're too few Swedes here already.

Other than that, ses söt.

Good luck mate, hope your future ventures are enjoyable; and if you ever get fed up with boring rubber domes you know where to turn!

Really though, hope to see you around from time to time. Hope your time on GH was great and maybe you'll be back one day soon! :D

Sad to see you leave, but maybe it is the healthiest thing to do. Collecting can be quite addictive .. as well as very bad for the wallet.

How much would be in the box? Maybe I could buy the box and sell the contents in parts, but it would be better if someone in western Sweden did it so that new buyers wouldn't have to pay shipping twice.
On the other hand, if I bought it, I could perhaps carry one or two keyboards for free to a buyer at the keyboard party in Eindhoven in August.

phetto, are you going to the army?
(...)Whereas back then I wrote about the tyranny of the majority, today I'd combine that with the tyranny of the minorities. These days, you have to be careful of both. They both want to control you. The first group, by making you do the same thing over and over again. The second group is indicated by the letters I get from the Vassar girls who want me to put more women's lib in The Martian Chronicles, or from blacks who want more black people in Dandelion Wine.
I say to both bunches, Whether you're a majority or minority, bug off! To hell with anybody who wants to tell me what to write. Their society breaks down into subsections of minorities who then, in effect, burn books by banning them. All this political correctness that's rampant on campuses is b.s.
