The novelties kit has been updated.
The grape design received several tweaks in order to fit SP's legend-cutting limitations.
The squirrel design is new. My original intent was to stick with the wine-making theme, but I found that this was too limiting. This design is based instead on a
Eurasian red squirrel. The red squirrel, or
Eichhörnchen, is common throughout Germany, including the winemaking regions. It differs from North American squirrels in part because of its little tufts of hair that resemble horns. These little guys stay very busy during the autumn and winter, gathering nuts and acorns, and they represent one of my earliest memories of visiting the Mosel river valley as a child.
Further tweaks are likely for both, but that may not be possible to evaluate until we get closer to actual production.
