Cherry MX stabilizers in PCB or plate mount. This is September 1st if you're jet-lagged

OVER -- Parts received, space bar wires being bent.

What is on offer:

Cherry MX 2x unit stabilizer sets. Custom bent spacebar wires for any spacing you need (6.25/7/??).

86 key boards use 4 2x and 1 7x stab
101 key boards use 7 2x and 1 7x stab

Please PM your order as such:

The WIRE includes *just* that: a wire, bent to your length specs. You will need a PCB or PLATE mount stabilizer to put it in. 7x is the key cap size, 4.5" is the distance stem to stem (on center). Stem to stem in inches is the safest bet if you have an odd request.

Typical 84/86key board is 4 2x + 1 7x:

I am going to be doing switch swap and paint the plates anyway. It should not be too hard to modify the plate for it I don't think. If it dosen't work out I am only out a few dollars.

Put more stats in post 2 for the curious. The odd totals are due to me already adding in a shipping to me approximation, then there's additional shipping out to you.

More now is cheaper, and you can always list them in the classifieds at a later date if you were wrong. That said, it's a fairly cheap mistake if you can't get rid of them and don't go overboard with your order.

Edit: Doesn't the Ergodox use stabilizers for the thumb keys? They aren't listed in the parts list.

I don't have that size wire handy, it's also a whole lot more complicated of a bend job. I hear litster has spares if you are willing to wait until all phantom orders are accounted for and verified by the recipient.

Wow, WYSE PCE 'boards have an extra set of stabilizers (9 total), so I grabbed some spares from there. (that way I won't need any extras)

Cherry stabilizers don't fit in the phantom that well, but it looks like they'll work. I might be able to put some paper or plastic in there to make it work better.

I also found out that you can remove and replace individual switches that are plate mounted. It's not even that difficult.

Quick update:

Mother in law is in the hospital, shipping envelopes are still in transit, space bar wires need bending. I've done some tests and need to "build" a jig (cut piece of wood, plane to 1.5", mount on board).

No worrying, especially since you still have your money!
