Picked up a CM spawn a couple of weeks ago, mainly just to try it out and see how comfy it is for claw grippers like myself, the answer is very!  Still love my RAT 9 but the spawn has become my dedicated Quake mouse as I was getting pissed off having the battery die mid-game and end up giving away free frags whilst I would change it over haha.

Favorite used to be the Deathadder but recently I bought a g400 and it fits my hand so well. Paired with a goliathus speed ed.

EDIT:

Scratch that, I started getting cramps in my pinky and ring fingers using the g400 and it was registering right mouse clicks randomly, swapped back to the deathadder, also I forgot how snugly my hand fit on the deathadder :\

My favorite is the Steelseries Xai. The sensor is amazing. 5001 DPI! The texture of it matches the gray PBT of my HHKB almost perfectly. For me, it is the ultimate mouse.

Logitech MX518.  I love this mouse.  It's served me faithfully for several years and hopefully for several more.  They don't make them anymore... so it'll be a sad day when I have to replace it. ;_;

I switched from a Razer Mamba to a Mionix Naos 5000, and I've gotta say, it's the most comfortable mouse I've ever used(short of a trackball setup) and thus far, it's been extremely reliable. Comes with 8 5g weights and 24 built in led colors(to match any board you're using.) I like it more than my Logitech G9x so far as well. Only issue is sacrificing lift(like in a fps) for extreme comfort, but that can be gotten used to. BTW: Mamba was a totally overpriced hunk of junk imo after using it for 2years.

I have to say the Zowie AM is my new favorite mouse. It fits my hand better than the mx518 and the coating is really nice. I even like the clunky scroll wheel.

Yeah, about those coatings..... does anybody have some experience with how those hold up in the long run? The only first hand experience i have is with a coated Microsoft mouse that held up many many years, but it did come off eventually. My current mouse (Roccat KOVA+) also has this kind of rubber coating on the top (but luckily it has solid robber sides) and i was wondering if these new coatings are anything like the old ones.

For a long time my favorite mouse was the SteelSeries Xai, until I got my Mionix Naos 3200. They've both been eclipsed however by the CM Storm Spawn, holy bejesus I've never been 100% satisfied with a mouse, I am with this one. Once the cord relaxes a bit, which it already has quite a bit(I need a mouse bungee, /cry) it'll be perfect.

Example: Kinzu V2 and the V2 Pro
seriously..

1. IE 3.0
2. MX510
--
3. G1

Between the MX510 and the Logitech G1, there was a handful of mice I tried, but I kept going back to the MX510.  The G1 is the only one so far that hasn't given me a reason to go back (the MX510 is looking REALLY beat up).

i know alot of yall are razer haters but i love my razer naga the buttons are extremely helpful in 3ds max because i can still use shortcuts while using my spacenavigator. i have alot of my tools maped to normal layout on naga and then a button to switch to using it as numpad for precise number input. its also the only mouse with programmable buttons that my hand actually fits.the lift off issue doesnt bother me because i have the large goliathus mousepad so i never have to lift the mouse.

I don't give a **** about commercial stuff, I only play Multiplayers fast FPS and this "OMG lod" is priceless for me.
That's also why I placed the g9x at the 10th position, the lod is ridiculously high for a gaming mouse.

Players lift the mouse because they use low sensitivity? :)

I'm also on the CM Spawn and love it. I strip the insulation from the USB cord of all of my gaming mice, and just use the bare 4 USB wires. I didn't use the CM Spawn cord this time, but one from another cheap mouse I had on hand. If you are careful with your stuff you won't break the cable (played with an IME 3.0 for over a year with this light cord). And if it ever breaks, replace it. Easy to do. If the pins for the USB to PCB plug are out of order they are also easy to resequence.

It makes your mouse feel wireless. I started doing this with the WMO. Huge improvement, I promise.

I would recommend all the spawn owners here to update to the new beta firmware. You will see LOD be back to around 3mm but a massive increase in perfect control speed as well as an improved 800dpi with Zero Accel.

Firmware:

http://www.mediafire.com/?zxwk8gu3tdun5g4

DPI Steps also changed with this update:

Dpi1 = 800dpi (old version also 800dpi but interpolated)
Dpi2 = 1600dpi (old version: 1800dpi)
Dpi3 = 4000dpi (old version: 3500dpi)

Oh i did not want to offend anyone sorry if i did... but i take it that lift of distance is actually something important? Guess im not too much of gamer to notice such things thanks all for educating me ;) My mouse has (according to some experts) roughly a 2mm lod... I have no clue if thats actually considered very good or bad but i just found the mouse comfortable when i gave it a little test run at a mates place and erm, for me that kind of test really means more than DPIs and G ratings that would make astronauts puke.

Oh, and i kinda have to take back what i said about prices on the zowie... i googled em a bit and they are only a couple bucks more expensive than my current mouse! Ill give em a try when i need a new mouse (will prolly be in about 2 years or something lol). I stil think its sad that nobody here loves my mouse tho, its a pretty decent thing (even tho i thought i was a bit light-ish and the cable was too long).

No worry, I didn't feel offended:)
And yes, no one cares of the lod for surfing or photoshoping.
This is also why I keep the g9x, it's better than the zowie for that, in my opinion.

Thanks Carter. Firmware 61 is working great for me. And a little bit of tape over some of the LED light (not over the lens eye) is enough to give me a lower LOD and still very high perfect control speeds. No excuses for missed rails.

I've tried many, the logitech mx518, g9, g700, had a few apple mice, a few plain jane microsoft ones, the R.A.T., and a bunch of razer's.

Thus far, the one I keep coming back too is the death adder. Not because I'm a fanboy, I don't like razer, but it's the most comfortable mouse I have ever used, and I have never had an issue with it.

1. Cooler Master Spawn
2. Corsair M60
3. Logitech G700
4. Logitech G9x
5. Logitech G400

I had a Razer Deathadder for almost an year, but it never really fitted me (since I'm a claw grip) and I just didn't liked it as much as other people did. When I finally tested a Corsair M60, I saw that my grip is REALLY Claw and that the DA was just bad for me. Some time later, I tested a friend's CM Spawn and I couldn't believe how well that mice fitted me and how cheap that thing is, so that's why it deserves the first place.
My collection:
More
Mice: Logitech G602, CM Storm Recon, CM Storm Spawn, Razer Naga, Ozone Radon Opto, Corsair M60, Tesoro Gandiva, CM Storm Alcor, Mionix Naos 8200.
Keyboards: Matias Secure Pro, Matias Mini Quiet Pro, custom modded Metadot Das Keyboard Model S Professional Silent (MX Brown, Costar), CM Storm Trigger (MX Brown), Noppoo Choc Mini (MX Red), Tesoro Lobera G5NFL Supreme, CM Storm Devastator.
Soon: CM Storm Quick Fire TK (MX Brown), CM Storm Trigger Z.
Boards I don't own anymore: CM Storm Quick Fire Rapid (MX Black), Logitech K800 (Membrane), Logitech G710+ (MX Brown), Thermaltake Meka G-Unit (MX Black), Corsair K70 (MX Red).
Mice I don't own anymore: Logitech G9x MW3, Corsair M65, Logitech G700, Roccat Kone Pure.
