You're welcome but I've read somewhere here that the quality isn't that great (since they're ABS with pad printing).  IIRC, OP specifically stated that they were KForce from either eBay or Taobao.

You know of any other similar looking ones then? I really how they looked in the picture I posted. I have an idea to mix these with the dye subbed ones (red on white) from imsto ( i think the keycaps from imsto will scream at the blasphemy of being forced to interact with such cheap keys though.)

I'd have to pass as I don't really like that shade of green! I envy people who can type on blanks though!

Hey guys I'm a new user to posting, I've been creeping around here for a few months as I'm totally new to the mechanical keyboard 'scene' and I wanted in!

Anyways after a month or so of looking up switches and brands I went with a Filco Majestouch-2, NKR with Cherry MX Blue switches, and totally love it... anyway today in the post came a bunch of caps I bought from WASD when I was wasted lol;;

That is exactly what I have had in my head for my black Filco.  I'm not 100% set on it, yet, but it's my top idea right now...

Blanks are so elegant, with maybe a couple of different keycaps at max. I don't understand all the fuzz about double shots (easily gets shiny and sticky!), RGB, and dozen of different keycaps in the same setup.

My first Blanks will come from Round 4. Hopefully I'll be alive until then.

Yeah I know, but still, only two colors! I would understand in case for custom keys (TL, troll, SC2, etc), but for those more than just two colors would be appreciated! In case for the regular keys (qwer, asdf, ...) I definetly don't think that the higher contrast of DS justifies the ABS material (and lack of elegance!)

There is the retro appeal of DS with specific colors and fonts too, forgot about that... well, to each his own, every person is different :)

I've been away from GH for a while...  What "Round 4" group are you referring to?  I bought my key caps from WASDKeyboards.com, but I'd love to get blank PBTs that don't wear as fast.

I had a Filco Zero (fake white ALPS) before that was louder.  So, my coworkers were happy to hear this softer keyboard.  Ultimately, though, this keyboard is not much quieter than some people's rubber domes, since they clack when they bottom out. :)

Only doubleshots I care about anymore really are Cherry ones. I vastly prefer the lower profiles. Well just any of their keys in general really, the pom ones are pretty nice too. Something about pbt, I don't like the feeling of it.

I am more of an understated type of person too, but that doesn't mean you can't have color. You just need to do some pre planning so it dosen't look like a crayola factory exploded on your board.

Double shot replacements ROUND FOUR!
qtan have some PBT (not blank though), and VorTex group buy has it also, but it will take a while (maybe not as long as R4 though).

If someone else knows other sources of blank PBT, please shout!

The vortex (KBC) are available in blank black or white. Only other source I know for blank pbt MX keys is SP, and a full set is much more expensive, and it's unlikely they will have all keys in stock in the same color in one go.

Screwed around with my poker tonight and didn't find anything I loved. Used some random Cherry caps I've had laying around. Found that it's super hard to match colors :\ It's that pesky bottom row that is the hardest. Phantom/dox will clear that up and let me use 1.5 CTRL/ALT caps though.

Thanks guys for pointing that out to me.  I don't know how I missed it.  I guess I paid too much attention to the pretty pictures. :P

So, it looks like blank black keys are $110 in the Round 4 group or $33 in Vortex.  I'll do a search, but if I don't find it first, is there someone in the US that is helping with the Vortex order?

Those R4 prices are not final, but probably it will be very expensive.

I asked that before (VorTex in US) and sixty told me to talk to iMav and I did but I never got an answer.

I found it on eBay. ncbound i think. it was just a set of caps off an old board he said didn't work. i got him to ship me the board as well. sixty thought it was going to be a specific cherry board, but it turned out to be some random company we'd never heard of.

the full set of keys was identical to these except of course for cherry mx:

I am aware of that. I think it was more of an issue that I didn't have the modifiers. And I didn't like them next to filco profile caps. And didn't want to wait 6 months for a moogle.

That said I don't prefer the profile of these caps. But it's not a deal breaker. They look so nice. Plus the cherry set I got was pretty worn. I'd like to score a new set one day.

Why don't you prefer the Cherry profile? The lower profile helps to reduce the switch wobble. I can't say a reason why would anyone prefer the thin OEM/Filco key profile, unless they prefer to use them with O-rings.

Idk that's just how I like them.My kbc pbts sit higher and have a better feel to me when typing. To me cherry almost feels like a low profile key.

Thanks, again!  I wish I would have known more about PBT caps before ordering the ABS from WASDKeyboards.  The ABS caps aren't bad, but since they are on my work computer, they are going to get shiny and slick pretty fast.

I'll look more into getting PBT cabs in the coming weeks, when I finalize what I'm going to do with a couple of my other keyboards.

erm..being lower profile doesn't reduce the wobble from the switch itself. However it does reduce the degree of wobbling movement at the top of the keycap.  Think swaying of a taller building vs a lower building under the same earthquake.

^ Looking good.  They seem darker than the ones from previous group buy.

Heh, that's just the lousy lighting.  The blue is darker but red and green are the same as aggiejy's sets.

The blue is amazing. I could get lost in it.

Hmm, now what keyboard should I put it on...?

Did any of you guys see a pic of my Ultimate Gamer from the SP Grab Bag thread?  It has real Cherry double-shots (not SP), Tiffany-turquoise WASD from SP, and some sweet cheat keys for my hax!

Also, somebody said it was impossible to make a complete set of keycaps from an SP Grab Bag, well I proved him wrong with this Ultimate Poker (done only with keycaps from my 2 SP mixed color bags, except Space Bar which is OEM):

[Disclaimer:  obviously the Poker is just for fun, as are the cheat keys, 'cuz I don't hack, much.]
I ♥ Click Clack.  I ♥♥♥ Bro Caps.

i think aggiejy's blue is way too light.

that one looks closer to the desko blue, if it's the same blue we're talking about.
No, he’s not around. How that sound to ya? Jot it down.
