Season 5 premiere was quite... wow xD .
-
Was watching, it were so gud', the PC crashed.
Vrms overheating, cheap motherboard. They skimped on giving a heatsink north.
Had to Rick up the mobo just to keep chugn'

Looks like something went wrong with your microverse battery!
-
that photo reminds me of my 1st fully homebuilt pc, i had sourced a motherboard not quite beefy enough for my cpu and had to improvise some extra vrm cooling, it was fun, although overclocking ended up killing the board and damaging the cpu pretty bad.

Just stay out of the Oceans. ;)

Watched it for the 3rd time today. once during, brkfast lunh, and Dinner.
-
It was ok. I'm glad they didn't do some broad-scope multi-episode backstory bull**** tie in and kept it small, but it was only just ok.
-

I keep re-watching it. It's really good, and I'm not even 100% sure why xD .
-
I don't think it was that interesting, or novel ... for being Rick and Morty, that is.
The most interesting story in this episode was probably Jessica's.

Mr. Nimbus obviously controls more than the police lol

We need Mr. Nimbus to fix our systemically racist police.

i never finished the last season. the hiatus really threw me off and i was waiting every week for a new episode and it really just took too long. guess it's time to catch up! i've been watching jujutsu kaisen with my friend lately which is a great show.

Most Excellent Episode.
-
e2 was waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay ****in' better than the season premier.
-
This one was a real mind**** xD . Pretty cool episode though :D .
Bet this was one of Harmon's episodes :p .

They are doing this cool thing post episode during credits w/ Roiland talking about the creation of each episode. It was poor new writer who said he went kinda crazy planning it all out, and Roiland just laughed like "I'm happy to accept his young blood to water the roses by my mansion"
-
Like many Rick and Morty episodes, this one is quite re-watchable, by the way xD .

Haven't rewatched E2 yet, it was too intense the first time..

Maybe because you're a decoy TP4

It would explain the reason for your avoiding going outside as to avoid the chance of running into the true TP4, lol.

Wow. Not that much story this episode, but excellent dialog :D .

There was alot of springboards on this one. Impossible to close the crazy possibilities in 1 episodes.
-
Don't think this was one of the stronger episodes. May need to watch again to properly impressionise.
-
There's a metaphor somewhere, hahahahahhaha
-
Rewatched it a few times, it does get better. Still not my fave of the new series so far, though.
-
is it getting toooooo edgy ? is there such a thing as that ?
-
The cum episode was garbage. The Voltron one was better, but still not great.

voltron ? from another season, or captain planet from this one?

the weasel Voltron episode? It says episode 7 idk maybe it was leaked? I'd not seen it before
Nah it is this season because the incest space baby is in it

I feel like if you haven't seen Hellraiser, the last episode won't make too much sense xD . Felt a bit drier than usual, but still enjoyable :) .

Tp4 has seen all the hellsraiz0rs. (only the first one made sense) But again it's on the edge of the visual container. You're allowed to be not pretty, but there's only so much of something you'd want to see for so long.

I gave up after IV. But I disagree with your assessment; I think the second one was even better than the original. III was very mediocre, verging on bad. IV was okay, it had its moments.
-
I haven't seen any of the Hellraiser movies, but I've been stared down by Doug Bradley (Pinhead). Does that count? ;-þ
-
TBH, the first hell cube from the first hell raiser had kinda crummy manufacturing tolerance. The filigree looks hand cut not even laser cut. and the veneered edges look dull.

I should be freaking sleeping, and instead I am watching S05. Really good.
-
Sleeping would be good so you can't have that, so lack of sleep is bad which in turn is good. lol

IIRC all the cubes in all the films were acid-etched, not hand- or laser-cut.
Always wanted one of those moving boxes. You can get them but they're very expensive. I have one of those cheap foil solid ones, though.

They're cool looking, but not as fun as regular magnetic rubics cubes.

Obviously that depends on whether you like eternal torture in hell or not!

There was a Char and Ity poster in the bar when Jerry was singing, so they are now cannon to the R&M universe!
-
Hrrrrrmmm.... relative strength of episode 6, probably a 7.25/10
-
Thought this one was pretty good! :D It was even more America-centred than normal, but I'm not sure it'd be more fun to watch if you're American :p .
-
Episode easily 8 // 10
-
Felt a bit scattered but was a good episode overall I think!
-
Epi 8... The lvl of WOKE is high, but animation intensity seems down.
-
I started watching this, it is completely gonzo but moderately enjoyable, a few episodes in. It seems like a naughty crazed take on recent-decade Dr Who, which I stopped watching because I felt that it had lost all its charm, really after David Tennant left it was never the same, Smith only came through occasionally.
The crudeness of the sexual imagery is about what might be expected, but it is surprising that there are so many more gonad objects than phallic ones.

Further down the road, it becomes almost completely insane.

Oh, it's great that you didn't even get to the utmost rubbish of Whittaker's Doctor Who.
-
I think that the kids (teenagers at the time) and I made it through about 2 or 3 Capaldi episodes and then we all agreed that it was time to bail.
-
Found this episode to be rather incoherent to be honest. Maybe I'm just not familiar with the source material.
-
Meh, never really cared for Birdperson as a character anyway. And the wokeness of inferring Rick is gay for Birdperson seemed forced.

didn't notice any gay inference

Waiting to watch this episode, but I did love the Mafia stylings of the previous w/ the Voltron reference.

Sept 5th , so , far , away ..... goin' into Woke-Withdrawal.

I wouldn't be opposed to R&M going the South Park route and just doing a few hour long specials each season

an extra-long episode
I don't know.
After you guys started talking about it, I worked my way through the series. By the last couple of seasons it had gotten so crazed and frantic that I don't know they could keep the adrenaline up for much more than 23 minutes without the story line being strectched beyond the breaking point.
Insane or not, there is some sort of tale being told. And personally, I don't like the type of ending where the entire universe is about to end and then there is a flash of light and the family is sitting in the living room watching TV and saying "that was weird" ....

I think I'll give them a bit more credit than that to be honest.
I honestly don't mind it. R&M is so short that a lot of things often feel overly compressed. Maybe this episode doesn't have to do that.
Besides, this season's been pretty decent so far, I think :) .

Well ok.. am impressed.. Cautiously optimistic, it is Not going to be easy to write future episodes with that new context.
Requires a whole new ball game.
This GROWTH in depth is probably a first in the history of television.
It is certain that Rick and Morty is the Condensed Epitomy of Sci-Fi.
One can argue that Trek has already touched most of the subjects, but their story contraptions were always RESOLVED in a backwards human quo way. RM has dispensed with that dull edge.
-
Truly excellent episode. Well-worthy of a season finale. Really enjoyed it.
Despite the added length, a bunch of things were still rushed through though. I understand, as even the lengthened episode is only 21 minutes. But I really reckon R&M could do with a feature-length film or something. I find that often, when it takes its time to go through things, R&M is at its best, and when it goes to muted montages, it's at its weakest.
-
Despite the added length,
I just downloaded "Rick and Morty Season 5 Finale" but probably won't watch it until tonight or tomorrow. It appears to be the usual 23 minutes. Is that right?

Hmm, now that you mention it, yes... I had been led to believe it was a longer episode than usual Oo .

there's 2 separate ones, both 23min.

I bet the golden portal gun leads to memories, allowing the user to travel to any memory ever lived by any Rick or Morty.

So 'evil' Morty can relive every moment before he 'lost his innocence' over and over again.
This is just a theory, but let's assum Morty's are implanted with childhood memories. Good ones, crafted to deliver a positive and happy childhood. Even though those memories are 'fake' they are still real in the mind of a Morty, so he can travel there and be a normal boy living a normal life from that point forward since he can control the memory. He can just live an entire lifetime in some other Morty's memory, over and over. Never meeting Rick.

I agree he CAN do that, but what's the motivation, you can't just drink orange juice forever.
Evil morty is on par with rick's brain power.

Ah yes, now I see.
Watched the crow one now too - this one DOESN'T have any rushed bits, which is good. Liked this episode! Not as good as the finale, but good nonetheless!
-
When I was younger I really wanted to have a pet raven after seeing this video of a trained raven taking off from a moving convertible, flying over the car for a bit, then landing on the passenger seat rest. I could never find that video again, but man corvids are pretty cool.
-
It was a good plan to launch both of these at the same time, If I saw 9 , i'd be ripping my hair out for a week until 10.
-
9 was amazing - story kept me drawn in and wanting to see everything play out. I still need to watch ep 10, which I will more than likely do tonight when I put my son to bed.

I bet the reason they come up for that is that he has already lived the lives of countless Morty's. His time is no longer cyclical, in fact time means nothing if you never age and can jump to any memory. That's what made Rick so smart, being able to experience so much in one lifetime by glitching out his lifespan by dimension hopping. I bet evil Morty has done the same thing (literally what we see at the end, he made the portal juice out of past Morty memories) which is why he reached the conclusion he did. He just wants to live in a happy place free from Ricks, and that is only in his memory.
Maybe there will be a big reveal that the green portal juice is the memory of all Ricks, and that has become the universe the others live in. Nothing being real or mattering since it already happened. Evil Morty wanted another option, and the only other option with as much scope was the memories of Morty's.
If this is the reveal in next seasons finale someone owes me a coke
-
I missed the family, they provide a welcome counterpoint.
