Púca
GB from July 2nd to July 24th

Discord: https://discord.gg/fjd9TcCKr9
Interest Check Form: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScIqnqsHOLgRqi3-3oun36yJ5-nPkz37F2KVzu3mYnVDqWITw/viewform

Púca is a numpad / macropad with exposed components on the right edge. It features hot swap sockets, a rotary encoder for volume control, an optional OLED Display and LED underglow.

There are two configurations, either as a standard numpad with a rotary encoder and two extra keys on the north edge, or as a 22 key macropad with all 1u keys and a rotary encoder.  Layers are toggled with the Num Lock key, allowing you to switch between a traditional numpad, and a second navigation layer. The layer currently in use is displayed on the OLED.

Puca currently uses QMK firmware, with support for Vial too.

yesssssssssss more through hole builds, any chance for a "mirrored" for those of us planning to use it on the left side of our board? nonetheless looks great and can't wait for this to go live

Looks great, would def. buy.
Would be cool to see mirrored as an option as someone already mentioned though even without it I'd still grab one :) (and it's nice to see you're an EU vendor, already looking forward to not having to pay an arm and a leg for shipping +import costs)

I do plan on doing a revision in future (later this year maybe?) that will be reversible like crkbd

This looks amazing! Quick question though, the black acrylic guard is still translucent right? As in we can still somewhat see the diodes and the mini screen?

Correct - it is a 'smoked' finished, I've added a pic of the OLED through the smoked guard for you

Came across this yesterday and want to get one but I'm a little lost on the options.
What choices do I need to make to get the silver looking one with the white Puca lettering? I'm only seeing the options for white and black.

The ones from the render are actually black - they do look silver in certain lighting though. For now, the only PCB colors available are white / black

I'm interested in getting this, but I had a couple of questions.

1) Does the build service include soldering on the hotswap sockets?
2) What is the optional addon "Hotswap Sockets (ProMicro/Elite-C)"?

Thanks.

Just making sure, your site says the base kit includes everything you need, but doesn't list the screws and stand-offs that are in the additional components listing. Are those included but not listed or do you only need them if you get a base plate as well?

New to the whole thing and especially builds like this so idk what to expect

1) The build service includes assembling the entire base kit, which include the hotswap sockets
2) Those are to make the promicro controller hotswap as well, in case you want/need to change it in future so you wont have to desolder it.

Saw it yesterday and thought it was just my inability to read sometimes. Already placed my order, will challenge myself a bit with the build, looking forward to the guide to follow along.

Just a question for future GBs though, was the number of remaining available build service slots available anywhere? I was considering it but since the GB says you've got high demand I figured the 30 slots for Europe are probably taken already.

There are a small number of EU Assemblies still available, the US one is also basically unlimited to cover as many people as possible. The store pages will show these as sold out once all slots are taken.

Thanks for joining! The written build guide and vid will both be up a few weeks before fulfillment starts at a minimum.

I love this look and am definitely in for one. My only hesitation though is from the renders this board looks quite tall, and seems to lack any any angle to it. I think a perfectly horizontal board's fine, so long as it's not so tall my hand has to float to reach the top rows...otherwise a slight angle might be worth integrating. Just my novice opinion, though, like I said I think it looks fantastic and already have one reserved.

No mirrored layout? It seems like the PCB could support it without much trouble, and the plate could just flip over?
