More info on this Cherry keyboard?

G80-3000LQMUS

Best picture I could take of the switch... White Cherry switches

What exactly is this kind of switch like? The feel of the whole thing doesn't seem much different then a membrane keyboard, but there is a certain feel that makes it 100% better then one.

it should feel 100% different to a membrane.
The clear Cherries should be tactile clicky switches and be a million miles away from any membrane board.

Oh ball is it?
They look like proper switches to me.
If its one of those horrible ftsc ones then eww. My apologise. Its worse than a membrane.
I didnt sleep so I might be talking rubbish but wise is the star captain in a flock of rubber geese.

Wow, big mistake.    "Soft Tactile"  actually.

G80 Cherry MX switch
3000 the big standard case
L lasered keycaps
Q soft tactile
M ps/2 connector
US ANSI layout with horizontal enter

The soft tactile should have a stronger spring than the brown which is 'soft tactile ergonomic'. I'm still puzzeled when it comes to white and clear MXs.

Well, It's a proper MX mechanical switch with stiff spring like MX/blacks, bit stronger tactile feel than MX/browns.  Worth than membrane. But MX/white is not my choice.

Anyway , very very sorry for confusion.

If you press the key very slowly, you should be able to feel a "bump" about 1/4 or 1/3 on the way down.

As sandy said, they're basically Cherry brown switches (soft tactile feedback with NO click sound) with stronger springs (like Cherry blacks).
