Just picked up a HHKB BT - anyone else notice that these sound different from other HHKBs? The spacebar is fine, but the alphas seem to be less thocky compared to a non-BT hhkb.

Maybe I'm remembering my own hhkb wrong, but I've seen a few other people online mention similar things about the BT and if you view the side profile of the case it isn't quite the same construction (ignoring the battery tumour) as a regular hhkb. Is there less hollow space inside the case to amplify bottom out sound or something?

I can't say for certain what the difference is as I've not owned a hhkb BT but speaking generally about construction it is entirely possible that the difference in fundamental design of the case for BT will change your acoustics.

You just have to decide if you like it or not.

They are relatively easy to obtain if you have a Japanese proxy, they are 17730¥ which is around $150. Shipping via a proxy would probably run you around $40.
I proxy anything including keyboards (キーボード / 鍵盤), from both Japan (日本) and China (中國). For more information, you may visit my dedicated webpage here: https://www.keyboards.es/proxying.html

this isn’t true, it isn’t a standard 108uh. the analog version is not available anywhere.

Do you have some vendetta against me that every time I post something you have to comment on it and try to make me look silly?

maybe there is a reason no ? subcat clearly said that they were a special variant and yet, you keep going at it saying how easy they are to find, of course someone else will jump in to say you're wrong.

sometimes, you just have to read, something so in-plain-sight would be obvious to a 8 year-old ... come on dude

I don't feel it's bad to correct misinformation, but stating someone reads as an 8 year old reads is pretty rude. That was unnecessary.

Maybe take your own advice and read what I said. Easy to obtain and easy to find are two completely different phrases with different meanings. Maybe I could have been clearer but whatever. I'm not on a keyboard forum to argue with keyboard warriors.

>argue with keyboard warriors

If there's anything I've learned in two years in this hobby, trying to fight those fights, is that you should never argue with idiots as they will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

I want to be explicit though that I'm not saying that about anyone in this thread. Just a generalization about me picking my own battles poorly.

right, because when you obtain one you haven't found one ... they're not easy to obtain nor easy to find. The fact that you said they're easy to obtain means that they're even easier to find, which isn't true for this model as it's very rare.

I'm not a keyboard warrior but you had to open your mouth to tell false facts and when you're proved wrong you're on the defensive like "wow buddy are you trying to make me look dumb ?? what are you ?? a meanie ?".

P.S. What I do find funny is how you backtracked to a vague position that could mean anything to still try to have some credibility.

they are 17730¥ which is around $150. Shipping via a proxy would probably run you around $40.

note the "THEY ARE" as in they're available at any time, but then suddenly ...

They pop up on Yahoo Auctions from time to time.

damn did they run out of stock and were put on the market from time to time quickly  :))

surely, for someone like Blaise who claimed skcl creams are easy to find in another thread, he sure knows his way to find an equally as rare Analog 108U with ease.

Swapped the stock case on my Realforce 88UB to a Norbaforce today. What a difference!

The machining and anodizing is pretty damn good. And the unboxing experience was spot on, I love the textured lid on the box. Thanks for the case, Ryan.  :thumb:
