Wait ... when you say GMK legends, do you mean that this set will be made by GMK ?

No, this keycap set will not be produced by GMK. It will feature the GMK font. Apologies for wording it incorrectly.

Interested but I have two requests questions.
1) Any chance for scooped homing keys without bars?
2) R5 pretty please?

Sorry, but I don't think either of those are possible. :(

Would be far more interested in your other set, minus the euro keys. I'm sure a large number of non-Euro people would also be interested in a cheap PBT set that offered as much compatability as GMK sets.

This? Doesn't add anything new, there are shed-loads of PBT sets out there for less than this price that offer better compatibility

I would think "Essential" would be something a little more classic than Red on white. Maybe when the series fills out a bit it will be better.

When I think Essentials I think OG cherry colorways; Beige, WoB, etc.

I like white on red, the name just throws me a bit.

Thank you for the feedback. Perhaps the name needs working on, but I think I should have explained the idea behind this keycap set range.

The aim of this range of keycap sets is to provide individuals who are new to mechanical keyboards with the option to have easy access to quality after market keycaps that they can use to replace the stock keycaps on their mechanical keyboard, that also have good colour schemes.

I understand that these keycap sets will not be compatible with a large amount of mechanical keyboards, but people whom are new to the hobby are unlikely to be buying mechanical keyboards with more niche layouts. In addition to this, an individual may be put off by the high price of many SP and GMK keycap sets for their first after market keycap set. Whilst many GMK and SP sets are nice, they are also expensive for those whom are new to the community.

The colour schemes are not confirmed, and the range is being worked on.

For example, here are some more colour schemes:

- Blue on White

184914-0

Pantone Colours:

Bright White - https://www.pantone.com/color-finder/11-0601-TCX
Blue - https://www.pantone.com/color-finder/Blue-072-C

- Black on Grey

184916-1

Pantone Colours:

Cool Gray 1C - https://www.pantone.com/color-finder/Cool-Gray-1-C
Cool Gray 11C - https://www.pantone.com/color-finder/Cool-Gray-11-C

Tsangan and short shift plz.

The 117 key blank sets on kbdfans, plus ISO (for the squeaky wheels) is the way to go for this.

Big fan of the red on white and blue on white.

Here are some images of some samples:

I am thinking about having the ISO keys blank, as this will allow other ISO users to use this keycap set.

Do you have an OG set to compare the crispness of the legends to?

I think it might be better to say "Rounded Helvetica" instead of "GMK Font" as rounded helvetica is what the GMK font is. Just to avoid confusion.

Update:

Apologies for the lack of updates! I am waiting to receive samples from the manufacturer. Once I have received those, the colour scheme will be decided, and the group buy can begin if there is enough interest.  :)

Here is an update:

The MOQ will be set at 50 units.

The prices are as follows:

50 Units @ 70$ Each.
100 Units @ 60$ Each.

These prices do not include shipping fees.

--

The legends will not have the same font as GMK, but will be Everglides standard font.

If there is support for keycaps with GMK legends, then the prices will increase by 5$.

A much wiser choice in my opinion.

I think this would look a lot better with white on red mods for contrast

Any chance of an addon kit with red mods?

At the moment, the legends are planned to be dye subbed, and so white on red would not be possible.

If there is significant interest in an add on pack, then another manufacturer will need to be sourced.

I would like to keep this keycap set as affordable as possible.

I really like the colors for this set, but I'm just not sure if I can pay that much for a set that has low compatibility, and is basically the same price as epbt.

Is that a 1.75u right shift?  Good addition, but needs a 1u FN to fill the hole on a standard 60% layout.
