I think topre is like close sourced. Exclusively owned by PFU. I don’t remember any customized keyboard with topre..

I think people are getting confused with the terminology used. “Bar” and “Angled” are two different options to accomplish the same goal, that being to raise the back of the keyboard to a certain angle from being parallel to the desk top.

The original LZ-GH had a bar foot.

An angled case bottom would serve the same purpose, as we see in other keyboard case designs.

If it’s to be called the LZ-GH v2, I would vote for a re-creation of the original, with its bar foot and mirrored stainless bottom plate. But I suggest different colors of anodizing, so as to distinguish the new version from the original. So, anything other than black, red, or grey.

You mean “red”

Split is life, so much more comfortable to type on

Or include the split, I dig that as well.. either way, love a 75% with the 10 on the left
I never mapped the 10 on the left. Just a built in artisan holder for me

I am assuming if the bar option was offered, it would still be possible to take the bar off and lay the board flat without any wobble?

That'd be a hard "no"

:))

40% are just too niche for a GB like this probably

My LZ-GH has been my daily keyboard since 2014 pretty much 90% of the time on average.  Most excellent keyboard!

Hot Pink/magenta please, like TX84!  Same design as original, polished SS bottom, SS bar.

84 WKL
grey/red
alu bottom w/brass bar
OR SS bottom and plate

numpad ++

bar for LZ-GH
angled alu bottom for LZ-SE

I like the angled corners better than rounded, but both look good
this will be really hard to pass up either way

seems like nostalgia

the bar LZs (LZ-F, LZ-S, LZ-GH) are notoriously... not so great to type on compared to angled ones, the sound especially is kinda weird

i like the look, but i'd really like to see a thicker bottom with a similar design

Have you actually typed on one for a longer time? Because to be honest when I look at the boards in your signature doesn’t seem like you did, but oddly enough you are very well informed about every single keyboard, sometimes you know even better than the GB runner or the designer of the keyboard. What is your secret ? I would like too to know everything and never have to spend money to actually get one.

Wait what?  That's nonsense...

admittedly, i'm not a huge fan of the bar LZs in the first place, and the sentiment is echoed on other (mostly chinese) forums and chatrooms

they're also very dated at this point, so an iteration would be welcome

since this is LZ-GH, and since everyone here on GH seems to want bar, then let it be a bar

i'll probably still buy it if i have the cash when it runs

haven't used one for an especially extended period, the older LZ boards are actually one of my knowledge gaps

picked up a lot of it by proxying (mostly from USA -> SEA) and making friends who have a ton of stuff they'll let me try

a lot of info can be inferred from experience in other GBs/with other boards

i used to keep a spreadsheet with a lot of misc. keyboard info on it (angle, controller type, GB price, etc.), but i deleted it a few days ago after that fake koala IC becuase i realized the percentage of people who care about that sort of thing is very small and anything i don't already have committed to memory isn't worth knowing in the first place

i've been around for a while, which also helps

I will make video for comparing.

Wait a few hours.

thanks kin

The idea of a bar itself doesn't really bother me, but I'd much rather the bottom of the case have more mass and not just be a thin panel. Otherwise the bottom will function like a resonator and make it sound super meh. But if it was like a thinner 2 part wedge case with a place for a bar like carved into it, that I could be down with. So like instead of a bar attached to a flat case, a bar set into a wedge case (but potentially still angled).

Also, if there is a bar, I think it would be cool if it came in brass :P. Such mass.

This isn't bad, I was thinking something in the middle, where only part of the bar sticks out. But I could deal with that. But I still want a brass bar for the heavy.

My favourite is this, LZ RE, where you get both angle + bar  :thumb: :thumb:
Also love the bottom of it.

i'd buy LZ RE V2

Yes!! LZ RE and LZ SE, I would buy those in a heartbeat.
