How do you store your keyboards?

I know you want to keep the model F and M separated - after all, they do use a slightly different design.

I still can't follow the division between XT and AT though. Maybe we should continue this in a new thread, but I would still like to know what you think is so different in the XT and AT except for their layout.
I think the key mechanism is basically the same, hence the keyboards should feel the same if they are of similar age.

Yeah, we need a separate thread JBert.  I have gone through many keyboards and could provide you with specific information about my experiences with the PC/XT Model F vs. the 84-key PC AT keyboards.

I'd say the opposite, because I find the sound and feel of the Model F to be more refined than the Model M.

Agreed, especially the 84-key PC AT keyboard.  Not only are the key presses more refined, but the feel of the keys is much more consistent on  the Model F's vs. the Model Ms.

Hmm, which would you prefer, crisp and precise tactile key presses with excellent on-center feeling, requiring less force or the Model M?

Maybe the clickclack dude has got some Model F keyboards in really bad condition.  I don't know of any other reason why anyone would find the Model M typing experience superior in comparison.

A travesty and sacrilege to all decent mechanical keyboards!

However, that is the officially sanctioned and approved way to store crap rubber dome keyboards.

I like Kyamei's tower of awesomeness.

I just keep mine in their original boxes and put them in the closet until I feel the need to swap.

I can't do that since the boxes to most of my keyboards met their ends 20 years ago. So I just throw them all in a pile. Most of them rubber domes anyway.

Yeah, right...
