Welcome to the Jungle!
GMK Urban Jungle is a set that combines the stock colors (https://i.imgur.com/aXcjux9.jpg) 3B, 2B, N9 and WS1 - fuzzy green meeting industrial grey.
The set is inspired by my years in the landscaping business and my love for nature and architecture.
Update 4/10: Fixed the renders, the colors were off. I'm now using RGB codes that GMK lists instead of swatch colors from KLE and they still seem a bit off. Please refer to the linked stock color image and the 9009 accents for an idea of what shade of green this is supposed to be. Sorry if the original renders misled anyone. With the updated colors, N9 feels too bold to me to be used as an accent, I would like to hear your opinion on that.
These are the proposed kits, I'm happy about any and all feedback regarding the included keys, they're just a rough draft. Everything is up for discussion.
My goal is to provide an affordable base kit without leaving anyone behind compatibility-wise.

Being an ISO-DE user I'd like the set to have a NorDeUK kit. A render of that follows if enough people voice their interest.
If this IC gains traction, I will flesh out the kits building on your feedback, contact GMK about pricing and look for vendors to run the set.

Thanks for checking out the GMK Urban Jungle IC!

I love it
-
Definitely interested - would love a NorDeUK kit. I'd also appreciate a 00 key in the numpad, though I recognise that's super niche. ;D
-
The green alphas in this set would pair really well with the green anodized case I have for the Planck I got from Massdrop last year. Without support for ortho in the set, I might buy if either GMK-200 or GMK Wapuro pull through.

Love green sets man. There is a big gap for these colourways atm.
Gets my vote for the Nordeuk kit as well.

I never thought that I would like a green keyset but this... This is awesome!
-
I like it. It's like a lighter Green Tea.
-
I like it! Tho i think i would prefer the mods to be a little bit darker, but this looks great :thumb:
-
I'm not really a huge fan of green sets... but this one is really awesome!
If you want nordeuk to make MOQ, just put it in the base kit ;)
-
This kinda looks like modern dolch.. But in the color green..
-
Definitely yes
-
Two thumbs up from me
-
In like there’s no tomorrow. This and Nautilus Nightmares are going to be fighting for a pot on my forest green Volcano660.
More green sets please!
-
In love with this set. Like that you've split up the numpad as well.
-
Interested in the monomods.
-
Definitely would get

With darker mods it's basically just GMK Green Tea tho. I think the lighter mods help differentiate it a bit.
-
Hmm I'm not much of a gmk fan, but I really like these colors a lot.
-
In for nordeuk Kit!
-
Thanks for the feedback so far!

Since the numpad is split from the base, that's something that can be looked into.

I'm set on this set having stock colors and the next shade of grey, N9 (the accent color), is already too dark to look good as color for all the mods in my opinion.
-
Reminds me of Green Tea DCS keyset. But like with muted and paler tones. Definitely not bad as this looks great. Another set I'll have to dream about and won't get. :thumb:
-
Wow uniform 3B looks so hot!
I would like the base better without 2B, instead run N9 mods - maybe 3C accents? I think 3C and 3B go well together.
Icon mods? - check
N9? - kinda check
Good runner? - check
Uniform colors avail? - check
Guess I am interested!
-
We would be interested in running it if you wish! Would love to keep ISO-DE stronk!
-
Gorgeous!!
-
I like the mono better. Good job all around, though. Kits are smartly put together in my opinion.
-
Is it a light color version of GMK GREEN TEA?
-
Update: The render colors were (and probably still are) off. Did my best to fix them. Please refer to the green 9009 accents to get an idea of what shade of green this set is.

Honestly - I like it even more now. Now where’d you put that NordeUk kit....

I also like the mono mods best with this color. I wish more people would run GMK stock color monotone sets. Would be cheaper and easy to combine sets
-
Very nice! Also vote for having an nordeuk kit option.
-
With the black esc and enter this color way is super nice, definitely interested to see where this goes.
-
count me in for this!
-
Looks great! I was debating to order a blank 3B set from the GMK blank buy but prefer legends.
-
Was curious as to where this green was relative to GMK Good Kid. https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=96279.0 Wish that one hadn't died, but it's a bit different.
Really like the all green.
-
Pretty solid combo, I feel like I never see 3B used in sets but it's a really nice mellow green. And 2B is a mellow grey that complements it quite well.
-
Looks great. Definitely interested!
-
Beautiful, I love it.
The base set seems good to me.
-
My wallet is telling me no, but my body...my body is telling me YES!
-
nice!I want it ^-^
-
Definitely supporting. SNOOT SNOOT!
-
This is really nice, following with interest. I hope the green comes out a sort of light but dusty green not too dark.
-
Reminds me of a tennis court. Nice. ;)

Being an ISO-DE user I'd like the set to have a NorDeUK kit. A render of that follows if enough people voice their interest.
Here. The lack of NorDE-Kits in every nice coloured GMK groupbuy here is really devastating...

Demand for Norse kits is low. I am a SW user but I understand why most sets do not include such set. It is a waste of effort most of the time. Unfortunately.

Even as an ANSI user I frankly sympathize with those who have suffered due to the split of ISO keys as of late. I understand how Norde would not make it, but excluding ISO entirely seems almost mean.
Pngu, would you be willing to add R5 support?

I almost solely use the HHKB layout but with the NorDe R1 special characters and and the ÖÄÜ-Legends... so the excluded ISO isn't even affecting me :D
-
like the pale color.
make it so cool.

I've been thinking about making a 'Spacebars plus' kit with the 6u spacebars, 2.75 and 2 + extra B for alice; if there's demand for R5, maybe that kit would be a good place for the keys. I wouldn't want to include it in the base unless R4 got dropped altogether in favor of R5.

Not enough sets support R0 and R5. If there is an opportunity for me to obtain either, I will buy that kit

Me too. Anything for R5.
-
finally a green set that I want!
-
This looks really good! looking for a kit to match a m60a sage
-
Just found out about this set.
First, that alpha color selection is absolutely fantastic. Looks more true matcha to me than gmk green tea.
I can't say I like the mod pairing. While I don't have anything better in mind yet, it seems like the contrast is too high there. I don't think it's bad at all, but I do think it's not fulfilling its full potential. Maybe a lighter grey mod with the matcha alphas might be worth trying.
This set kinda reminds me of Nier Automata because the game does have an urban jungle setting to it. Looking at google images for ideas.
-
I really like this set. The colors seem to go well together.
-
Interested. +1 for NorDeUK
-
I'll update this in the coming days, been pretty busy, sorry.
-
Don't let this die please ;D
-
Can the mono mods include the numpad modifiers too?
-
In love with this set. Like that you've split up the numpad as well.
I'm relatively new to mechanical keyboards but I'vee noticed a trend with this. I just don't understand it. I recognize that most mid-high end keyboards are focusing on the 60-80% keyboard. However, Ive seen a lot of people say they add a Numpad to their 60-80% for various work they do.
As someone who uses the Numpad daily (accountant over here) it's madening to have to pay 50$ for a Numpad kit on top of the base kit. I picked up GMK nines as my first set. I got it after GB closed as an extra for 140$ and it has Numpad and a crazy amount of layout support.
But hey, at least it has support. I feel bad for the norde users out there. As a French Canadian I fully understand the Legend issues. (I got back and forth between Canadian french and English. It's a daily struggle to find those special characters!)
That's being said, this is the first colored set that I really like! Can't wait.
Hopefully we can get enough num support to bring the cost down!

+1 for NORDE kit :) Im a ISO-DE user myself :)

It's a symptom of a prevailing mindset that the majority of people shouldn't have to pay for a minority layout. As you say, ISO support has suffered even more than numpad users (there's usually enough numpad buyers in any given GB for it to hit MOQ).
The main cause of this change is GMK's high prices and high MOQ. Designers have to worry about getting enough support to get the set made, and if the base is too expensive some people won't join. With manus with lower MOQs, like Signature Plastics or Keyreative, kits are split even further.
