Hi,
Is the Das model S Professional now shipping without the media keys, there are pictures of it with and without media keys on their website ?

I think the media keys have been ditched entirely. The main reason was probably the fact that people didn't want to lose their left Windows key.

I would send them an email, I think that would be your most reliable and straight forward answer. Especially if you are interested in their product.

I did just that and the support person at Metadot had the following response:
At this time the version with media keys is completely discontinued. I can't disclose whether or not another version will be introduced soon, but I would encourage you to check our blog or follow us on Facebook for updates.
She did not elaborate as to WHY the media keys were discontinued.
Personally, I'd rather have the left Windows key anyway as it's very useful for shortcuts in Windows 7. IMHO, with solutions like autohotkey, hot key plugins for iTunes and Windows Media Player, and third party players like Foobar2000 that have hot key support, there's not really any need for media keys.

Reading the above, they have pulled out of the market, ie, discontinued their existing model with no comment about a replacement.

| As to your question, none of our resellers had the Silent version at all; it was only available from us. We will probably have some as refurbished, but we do not have them yet. I would suggest checking our website from time to time to see if we have stock. That is unfortunately the only option for purchasing one at this time.

Or better yet just check their website. They sell a Das S now which is basically a Das 3 with new keys and new firmware.
Ah, its the "Original Professional" without the "S", got it now, binted up, thx. I checked with getdigital and was quoted 3 to 4 months for Europe, what a load of bollix, any of you USA spocks coming to London in the near future ?

The model I am after is the "non media" version that has the two windows keys with blue switches and letters on the keys in a UK 105 key layout. I think it is the Model S Professional with 2 Windows keys on their website.

Yellowstone is indeed a supervolcano (assuming it blows up). Satellite radar has proven that to be fact. No conspiracy theory at all. However, it might look
dangerous for 5000 years before anything would happen.

California has an extremely tough environmental faction, so I am sure that there will be legislation in place to negate such an objectionable display natural destruction :)

Yeah, thats the hogger, only thing is, it will be the end of the USA, not the end of the world, there's a difference. Book your space in Europe now, bring a keyboard, all spocks welcome with keyboards.

Looks like Das just dropped another product change hint on their Twitter feed (http://twitter.com/daskeyboard/status/14307637485).
Or not. Could just mean they're updating their current web site to show accurate product info.
