Am I correct in guessing that it is easier on my wrists to leave a keyboard flat when possible as opposed to using the feet on the keyboard (because they would cause me to have to bend my wrists more)?

Most information I know of says yes.
Also probably good to peruse the ergo-centric sub board for more tips :)
I switched from mostly 5 degree / OEM profiles to preferring flat / XDA for heavy work use. RSI is mostly gone for me, using Colemak in conjunction with XDA and a zero-angled Planck.

Thanks, mounds, on a couple different levels. I didn't know about the ergo sub board, and I just so happen to have a set of XDA caps on order!

The need for a neutral or negative tilt has everything to do with typing style and user orientation. If you’re a floater, with your hands not touching the keyboard except at the fingertips and with your body high enough to not encourage wrist extension, a positive tilt can be desirable. If you’re a planter, where you prefer your wrists or forearms anchored to palm rests, a tabletop, or chair armrests, then a neutral or negative tilt is desirable. Avoiding excessive wrist extension is the goal.
