Title: Good 65 Percent Board?
Post by: Dr.Hades on Wed, 17 April 2019, 20:05:56
I'm currently looking for another 65 percent custom as I already have one, the ALT, and am searching for another. I have considered the KBD67 but what else is out there?

My personal favorites:

Dolphin Dolinger or the TGR 910 CE

I should have said this before but unless it's very obvious that it's going to get a second GB can we stick to boards that are consistently available? As much as I'd love to have a TGR product they're more rare than a chance to go to the moon

Can't really go wrong with an aluminum Tada68.  They're not very fancy or anything but they're well-made, easily available, and not too expensive.  You could also get the Tofu65 which uses the same PCB as the Tada68...but I don't really see the point.  I mean it does have a brass weight and those are all the rage these days but it's not like that Tada68 is light or flimsy...it's thick aluminum and surprisingly substantial.

For a bit of a different form factor and more lighting options there's also the Clueboard which is readily available.  I have an acrylic sandwich one which they don't actually make anymore but I like it...the aluminum ones should be nice too.  They're a little pricier though.
