Dear GH members,

I am Simen, owner of INETT Studio from China. I am glad to be back with my new design – Square 80%. As a result of co-working with FOX LAB, we have finally got an amazing SQUARE prototype after a looong design period. We will bring more info and details within the upcoming weeks. Here is some brief introduction

In order to make special inner rim design into reality, it need some physical support. Finally, we decide to use 4mm Plate to support inner rim.

If 4mm plate is only one choice, we do not think soldering pcb will be a good choice. That's why hot pluggable pcb is default option during IC.

I like the light above the arrow cluster and the overall design.
Hotswap on a TKL is wecome as well.

Not too excited about the mounting system, if the goal is to allow for a low profile build I would expect most customs buyers have no interest in that.

inett design and fox lab production is like a perfect pairing. really liked the cross but didn't get in on it, this is looking super super nice. curious to see what colors will be offered, but will definitely keep my eye on this one.

As explained above, we would like to provide more options for players. But according to current design, we think hot swap pcb is the best choice with 4mm plate in order to get unique inner rim design for this TKL  :)

Absolutely love the top design - the accent colors around the keys look incredible.  Been waiting for a really solid TKL for a while so this has my attention.

That said, the bottom design really turns me off.  Not that I look at the bottoms of my boards often, but this really has me on the fence and I'll end up having to go with my gut in the end, depending on color choices.

Yes, 'accent colors around the keys' is unique in my design. I spend a lot of time for this design to make in reality. Thanks for your enjoying.

Those three led is always light (decoration) / Caps Lock indicator / Scroll Lock indicator, and fixed function.

It is weight with engraved character 'SQUARE'. PVD will be an option in our consideration.  :thumb:

Since 'win' blocker is connected with inner rim, you will feel that is not same as other WKL keyboard. Same color for keyboard and plate (inner rim) will make it better. Leave more choice for players  :))

Yeah please have a black pvd option for the weight if you are going to have such a gorgeous yellow as a case option.

Personally will have to give this a miss due to no ISO, but that yellow is gorgeous - I don't think you'll have any difficulty filling those 50 spots  ;)

Fixed layout is perfect for players , no choice , haha, easy to know how to assemble it without thinking  :p

OoOof, I am not a huge fan of TKLs but gotta admit to a killer design when I see one! These are really visually appealing boards, the extra bit of the plate that extends up through the case to outline all the keys make for a great & striking look with most color combos. Really great work here! :cool:

Dumb question, maybe, or perhaps it's been covered here, but how if the plate is 4-mm thick, how do the switches snap into it? The tabs on a traditional switch are designed for a specific plate thickness, correct? Is the plate indented to let those tabs nestle into the plate?

This is a bit more of a concern with a hot-swap PCB, since there's no solder holding the switch legs.

Thanks. Yes, the 'inner rim' takes us a lot of time to think how to make it in reality. Finally, we found that it can connect with plate. But it actually bring more troubles for plate manufacturing. Hope you enjoy it  :thumb:

1 YES, RGB light is not shipped with qmk compatible PCB.

During GB, I am sorry that blue option will be removed since it looks very nice in camera, but you will feel a little disappointed under normal light. Only beautiful options will be available in GB  :thumb:

Yes, it comes from plate. As my feel for prototype, the gap between inner rim and case is not easy to detect, and we are trying our best to make it as close as we can .
