Title: Easy way to open kailh switch tops?
Post by: TeacherGeek on Wed, 15 May 2019, 02:53:26: A few guides on the internet for Cherry MX tops but not for tops like kailh. Suggestions?

Mate, I don't think any of these are easy.

The easy thing to do is buy a decent keyboard that's good to go as is.

I recommend Leopold (specifically the FC980M model for MX or FC980C for topre), good keycaps, good build quality and affordable, mainly the MX versions, topre anything tends to be overpriced.

Then the only question you have to ask is to yourself and that is, 'How many of these do I realistically need to buy?'

I would say at least 3.

Yeah I want something like this. I know there are cheaper MX versions, but want a cheaper Kailh version. Just haven't seen it.

I've done enough that it only takes me a few seconds per switch now, and again that's without some sort of specialized tool.
