Title: Leap frogging firmware updates?

Can a person jump over a firmware update or do they have to up date in the order of the releases?

For example if your unit has firmware 3.05 and the only one you see is a 3.07 but in reality there was a 3.06 in the interim. Can a person jump from 3.05 to 3.07?
